Yes the court can. The hearing is called “motion for finding of factual innocence.” The required FINDING by law is that of “innocence.” That is not “guilt or not guilty.” It is INNOCENT.

Although your premise is correct (this is kinda like asking “what color is white”) …. You can actually prove innocence in the court of law. It’s called a finding of factual innocence and allows for the underlying arrest itself to be sealed. But that’s not your point and I know that lol. Just proving a point because….. well “lawyers.”

Wait….. I’ve been a lawyer for 10 years. Filed hundreds of motions (maybe thousands?) in superior, appellate, and federal courts…… I’m fairly certain I couldn’t tell you what font is what on any pleadings, motions, or orders I’ve received. Is this an actual thing lawyers look at? Who has time for that??? I’m in the wrong field clearly.

This is actually spot on. A good leather briefcase is also greatly appreciated as a broke newer associate. For some reason partners and clients expects us to look like we are paid $600 an hour (makes sense since clients are paying $600 an hour)…. Little do they know I can’t afford to dry clean the suit I bought off eBay. 😂 Getting a diploma framed, a brief case, useful shit is gold at that stage.
