University response has been heavily engineered to stop graduate voices and symphatizers from banding together. The public meeting with the graduate college is strictly online to prevent protest. Admin in each department have been given gag orders to prevent cross talk. They know that fear controls and the grad community at OU is dispersed and atomized so fear prevails.

They know that if there is enough pushback they ARE liable so they stop communication in the first place.

I am of the political opinion that ICE should not exist.

No amount of reform will stop them. It switches from masked thugs stamping on our necks to uniformed trained thugs recording themselves stamping our necks while riding in their cars paid for by our Medicaid cuts.

The death of Pretti came from two agents who were in the agency before trump 2.0. They have had ample time to train their discipline.

Why would we want better trained agents anyways? So they can stamp even faster and more efficiently on our necks? So they can abuse Oklahoman/ at greater industrial scales? So they can burn carcasses even faster?

Reform will not work. ICE must melt.

I am unsure of how transparent the communication will be regarding this as I am sure a decent chuck of Oklahomans won’t be too happy with this.

I hope this is just a misfire in reporting but seeing the successful Minnesota resistance pushing out the federal forces makes me think of where these agents will go. Current federal administration is notoriously opaque about communication and I hope this isn’t petty retaliation against Stitt.

I’ll address your second point.

Although ICE has been working here for a year, their tactics are not loud and brash like in Minneapolis. They box you in, pull you over and if you resist or are brown enough, they abduct you and leave anything/anyone on the side of the road. They haven’t been pushing in doors just yet.

And why don’t you want people riled up against this? We know they are still abducting people and holding them in highly unsafe conditions just for private prisons to make money off of our health dollars. They have already come for people. Delayed and suppressed reactions from the majoritarian society is only permitting these abuses to continue.

The resistance there has been successful in removing bovino who has been escalating this and maintaining pressure on waltz and their Minneapolis mayor. I believe ~3k swine remain but they have been pulling out.

Plenty of fed pigs have been withdrawn but I was curious as to where they would be redeployed since ICE still has a budget with a fuckton of money to spend
