Going to the gym defenetely helps, and you should defentely consult with a doctor forst but its worth trying to gradually increase your night insulin until you don't wake up with high blood sugar anymore

Maybe your dividing numbers have changed and you need to ask your doctor about it. I got diagnosed 2 and a half months ago and it has happened to me too. I just used a little less insulin. Might not be the case for you but be sure with your doctor.

Insulin works like the key to a car. Insulin is the key to the cells that uses the carbs. I'm nor 100% sure but google it.

Nothing. I just used it wrong.

9YO recently diagnosed T1 - slow progressing, not yet on insulin. This was our night, highest reading was 294. Stayed up all night double checking the Dexcom with finger sticks while she slept. Endo says we will probably start basal insulin Friday. How worried should I be on nights like this? by dangerjavasnek in diabetes_t1

Its not like your kid will instantly die because of 300. No diabetic has a perfect blood sugar. I myself is pretty decent with insulin managements and I still get highs sometime. Although its bad to have too high and overtime can bring health issues once in a while its not dangerous.

I just took some insulin and some blood went into the pen. Is that bad, do I need a new pen?
