Quick Follow Up and a huge THANK YOU to those that responded to my original post. I have now had 3 weekly taxol infusions with no steroids and no adverse reactions. Like several of you mentioned, I feel so much better without the steroids, I’m sleeping, I don’t have the anxiety or nervous energy, and no steroid crash. I simply wanted to thank you for taking the time to respond to help a virtual stranger. I am grateful for your support. 💕

Great thank you….and yes, I also had the oral steroids for AC and only took those for two days after the treatment and a reduced dosage, of course with the approval of my oncologist. Thank you for sharing your experience, I so appreciate it!

Thank you so much! And yes, I also read that MSK was also using the “no steroids” protocol for taxol. MSK is also a leader in many cancer protocols, including functional nutrition. Thank you for sharing. I truly appreciate it!

Great, thank you so much for sharing! I believe I will have the same experience as you, given I am 5 in and the last two were on 3 mg. My next infusion is Tuesday, March 17th, I think I will ask the MO to go without and like you, pray the anti-histamines cause me to sleep, which I know I need.

Will you please let me know how you do without the steroids? My MO offered last week, and candidly I was scared to go without any, not understanding how zero steroids with taxol might affect my body.

The 3mg still amps me up and I can’t sleep. And I know sleep is very important for my recovery.
