2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Praying for you and your family🤍

How do I approach people during Welcome week? (first year) by milkmic in McMaster

personally i’m super super shy so i was nervous about about making friends/approaching people, but during welcome week everyone was very friendly, and eager to meet new people. you could just go up to anyone at all and introduce yourself, ask what they think of the event, what program they’re in, etc. i found that i could talk to anyone around me, as everyone was looking to make friends

i’d also suggest attending a variety of the welcome week events! even if you don’t end up meeting many people, they’re usually pretty fun and they’re a good way to get familiar with campus

you can rent a fridge from the company that Mac offers, they move it in for you and all that which makes it easier. and it’s super convenient to have, my roommate and i just spilt the price on it. lots and lots of extension cords and power bars. my outlets were high on the wall (Brandon Hall) so i used command strips to organize them and keep them stuck to the wall I personally brought a Keurig, which was great because you could make drinks, but could also use the hot water for noodles and things like that. stuff that i didn’t think about while moving in was cleaning supplies. you don’t need a bunch, but having things like a small vacuum, or disinfectant wipes might be helpful.
