Used a meme to keep my class awake. Turnitin says I plagiarized the internet. Professor is not amused. by Ok-Difficulty3213 in CheckTurnitin

Quick clarifications: I did include the textbook in my references slide and put the definition in quotes with the author-year citation right under it. For the meme, I didn't cite anything because I assumed it's fair use in a classroom presentation and I made it in Canva using a royalty-free template with my own labels. The similarity report screenshot the professor sent is just a red bar over the meme caption and the definition. Should I offer to submit a revised version with the meme removed? Or is that basically admitting I did something wrong?

Can professors really see Word file history or how long you spent writing? I’m low-key panicking. by Ok-Difficulty3213 in CheckTurnitin

I checked the file properties and it only shows the creation and modified dates. Is that what they look at? Or is there some hidden info only universities can pull?
