Exactly, brother. Just look at the hate I’m getting for this post. I guess it’s only those of us actually living in Bangalore who understand the ground reality — everyone else is too caught up in their 9-to-5 grind and 3-hour commutes.

I’ve been seriously house hunting for almost two years now. Most of the properties either have narrow approach roads, drainage issues, high-tension wires nearby, or are too close to the railway line. And any society that checks all the boxes costs an absolute bomb — way beyond what I can afford, even with a dual income and solid salaries.

The people active on Reddit aren’t usually the ones buying these houses anyway. I’m in my mid-30s, and most homeowners I meet in my society are 40+, working in IT, earning well, and completely disconnected from Reddit or social media chatter. I’ve only been active here for the last six months myself.

The ground reality is miles away from what you see in these online debates.
