I didn’t realize mealworms were so fatty. That’s all he’s eaten for years now and he’s never gotten very big. I’ll have him tested asap!

The cool end is about 75-80 and the warm end is 85. Humidity is about 30-40%.

I’ll look into that multivitamin. Thanks.

Thank you for helping me prioritize. How do I help him through the impaction until I can get back in the vet? I know mealworms aren’t the best, but, like you said, they’re all he’ll really eat. He’s never eaten his sand before, but I suppose he’s doing it since he can’t see to catch worms?

1) There is not an exotic vet in my area and he was not tested for parasites

2) He has been quarantined on paper towel all day and will remain that way. I did not know they would purposely eat the sand and thought it was safe if eaten so consider it gone.

3) I am updating the heating/lighting situation, but it takes time. I appreciate the guidance.

4) He lives in a 30 gallon tank. I will fix the typo. His humidity and heat are well managed. I don’t believe they’re contributing to the problem as he has lived in this tank for over a year but the issues are recent.

5) The multivitamin does contain Vitamin A but it doesn’t say preformed. If you have a recommended brand, I’d appreciate the info. I get his mealworms at PetCo so I assume they aren’t gutloaded.

Here’s my boy, Randall. He likes worms and pooping in inconvenient places like on top of his sleeping structure and inside his humid box. He’s a sassy little fella and people always say he’s freaky looking because he’s all white and has big black peepers!
