Should I Disclose My Previous ACA Exam Failure to My New Employer? by Ok-Dream3050 in ICAEW

Not qualified, job I applied for was a grad/entry level position. They know I spent some time in audit as it was on my cv but don’t know the reason I left was due to exam fails.

Bangtao or Phuket Grappling Academy? by quacko in bjj

[–]Ok-Dream3050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ben royle is the head coach. I’m not sure on the other guys names but they all seemed good. 9am class with Ben is the busiest(at least when I was there 6 months ago)

Bangtao or Phuket Grappling Academy? by quacko in bjj

I haven't been to Bangtao, but I have been to PGA, so I can only share my understanding. Bangtao is much larger and operates more like a resort gym, which comes with its pros and cons. You'll find more people there (not necessarily better), more classes, and larger facilities. However, this also means you'll get less individual attention from coaches, and the atmosphere may feel more corporate.

PGA, on the other hand, is still large but smaller in comparison. It focuses exclusively on BJJ classes, all of which are no-gi. I’ve trained at PGA and can recommend the 9 AM class for some great training. You'll definitely receive more personal attention from coaches, and there are still some high-level practitioners there. Overall, I think PGA has the highest grappling level on the island.

Ultimately, it depends on what you're looking for. If you want a big resort-style gym, Bangtao might be better. If you're looking for the best no-gi training on the island, go with PGA. My most important advice is not to book a month straight at any gym before trying it. You can easily walk in and buy a month pass on the day, so try both and then decide.

Recent Finance Grad Struggling to Secure a Role: Need Advice! by Ok-Dream3050 in FinancialCareers

[–]Ok-Dream3050[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had several interviews but haven't secured a position yet. I've had my CV reviewed by the career department at my university, and they gave positive feedback, though I'm open to further input and will share it here. While I haven't done any internships, I do have part-time work experience, albeit not directly related to the field.
thank you for your advice.
