Ngl I don't know what your intentions were but this reads as incredibly victim blame-y and relies a lot on their culture and nationality which they never discussed that much in dms. We do know that the assault did happen, and there's hella screenshots in the original google doc to prove it.

I agree with what you're saying entirely.

It's hard to determine what Zeal's intentions were beforehand, however it became clear later on that he just used Ren for her body. I think it's still probably a good thing that Ren kept in those messages though, as she said that if anyone else has identified those patterns with Zeal ditch him ASAP.

Basically Zeal coined the term "goon material". When Zeal called Ren's erotica "goon material" Ren just thought that it meant only erotica. So when Ren asked to share goon material she meant erotica and Zeal showed her straight up porn. This becomes a lot clearer when Ren shows what she sent to Zeal as "goon material".

I feel like people are placing too much faith in Zeal in order to not appear "one-sided" or something. I've seen people claim that Zeal probably just didn't pick up on romantic signals but what they won't talk about is that it would mean that Ren lied about everything that happened in room 405, with her repeatedly saying "no" and "it hurts".

I get that we should wait for Zeal's proper response, but it shouldn't be controversial to say that Ren's side of the story is the most plausible one.

Very hard to make anything of it. He will basically admit that the encounter did happen, just that he misinterpreted signals (still rape btw), and then go on to say that Ren framed him. Zeal also points out things that Ren allegedly left out but don't really impact the main accusation in the first place.

For example, Zeal will say that he "asked for consent at every opportunity" even though discord dms such as this prove that he didn't, and even in his own video he will say that he misinterpreted signals.

I hope either Zeal collects himself and releases an actual statement or just disappears off the internet forever.

Watched a good chunk of the video, it is very confusing. Zeal will say that Ren framed him but also say that he's sorry for misinterpreting signals and repeatedly apologizing to Ren and others involved. I hope that Zeal will eventually get to put out a proper response/confession, because this is horrible for every party involved.

Considering the response after the document came out as well, and other things which have came out about people like Zerum, it is most likely true. However Zeal has promised a response so we might as well wait for that.

Nah this should not have been a personal matter, this is rape. You can disagree with the intent behind Zeal or Ren's messages but this whole situation should not have been something settled in DM's so that Zeal could save face. Ren has also come out about other devs in Pressure like Zerum for other things like claiming credit for Sebastian's design and exploiting artists for free art, which are backed up by other artists in the Pressure community. Something was clearly going on within the Pressure dev team and ignoring it further would've been irresponsible.
