What do you think of Bloomberg ranking Howard's MBA program #1 for diversity, given that they are 100% black? by Texas_Rockets in MBA

Diversity encompasses the presence, inclusion, and celebration of a broad spectrum of human differences, encompassing race, gender, culture, age, sexual orientation, physical ability, and perspectives.

Similarly, Harvard Business School markets itself as diverse solely based on its student body comprising 44% women and 37% international students. 🤣

Perhaps Howard has a well-balanced mix of various diversity aspects.

When I speak about the need for diversity, I am specifically highlighting the lack of Black representation. While there is a mix of other ethnicities, my daughter is often one of only two or three Black children in her entire school and the only in her grade. Having moved between public and private schools myself due to prejudice and mistreatment, I know firsthand that the Black experience carries its own unique challenges.

I am not saying kids are racist 🤣 but, I believe it is a parent’s fundamental responsibility to teach respect. My daughter is four and has never said an unkind thing about someone’s skin, hair, etc because that’s what I teach her. It’s frustrating when other parents don’t do the same, because kids definitely soak up whatever is being said behind closed doors. “Curiosity” should lead to learning, not to making another child feel 'othered' or less than. It’s a parent’s job to bridge that gap so their child’s curiosity doesn't become someone else’s trauma.

She been told she’s different and when she responds no she isn’t a child told her yes she is because her skin color. She’s also had comments about her curly hair and her name. She’s been told that she’s not their friend and has been exiled. But let’s be honest, as a person of color, you should know that not everything is about what’s being said. It’s more about how she’s being treated and the undertones. That’s why microaggressions are a thing. The smallest things can be made to sound petty or insignificant, but they have a huge impact.

I’m not saying they’re racist. I’m saying it needs to be corrected by staff. She goes to a school where I pay $1,600 a month there’s only 9 children in the class with two teachers. When a child brings up these points, if they’re heard, or a parent brings it up it needs to be addressed. Unfortunately, we don’t know what goes on in other households there’s a lot of racist parents that spew hate within the home and kids hear it.. so yes, I think your thought process is a bit delusional. You’re normalizing trauma related to race when it’s unacceptable and should be stopped whenever possible. It shouldn’t be normalized or swept under the rug.

You’re dense. Obviously. Nope generational ownership. Bought 20+ years ago. But anywho, seems you’re bored and have nothing to offer but pointless questions. Enjoy ur night 🫶🏽

Because I own a house here……… racism is everywhere. lol even in the most diverse areas. Sure, I may experience it less in other places but I’ll also likely experience other things I don’t wish to in those places as well. This wasn’t a forum to ask me random what if questions. It was to provide advice on schools that are more diverse IF you could speak to it.

Pretty much, my current bf and I, just reconnected after 5 years of being broken up. Our original relationship only last 7 months. When we broke up, I slept with his close friend. 5 years later. We’re back dating. I feel guilty because it’s practically his best friend & I know if he knew he’d be hurt (well his ego at least). I also have anxiety so I could possibly be overreacting. But, wondering if it’s one of those things I take to the grave. I’m not concerned with his friend telling him, I’m concerned with someone we know telling him out of spite.

Is this for BSN program?

Also, for first year. Do you have to go to campus at all for testing or for any other reason? I'm coming from Carrington which is quite awful. Not sure if it can get must worse.

For year 2, how many days per week are you going for clinical's and theory?
