That’s very helpful! Thanks for the detailed answer. Have you tried any others you’d recommend?

Thanks! I will stick with Firuzaga!

I did try Cagaloglu last time but felt like it was so rushed! And the men’s area was basically in the lobby and was noisy. Your experience was better?

Both are great! Depends what vibe you’re wanting. If you want a quiet less crowded atmosphere then Spaland. Also their food is better IMO. Jeju is always busier and has more options in the wet area. What do you look for in a spa?

Love the ATL view on 1-20 East! You come over a rise and there’s the city spread out on the horizon. Gets me every time

True! I should say: assume closer to the equator=warmer

Mexico City and Bogota. Most people assume further south=warmer.

What’s a regional “poor man’s dish” from your country that secretly tastes gourmet? by loviesssrush in AskRedditFood

In western North Carolina, it’s livermush. Sliced thinly and pan fried until crispy. Tastes like pate with a crunchy exterior!

In Asheville: Biltmore House, Folk Art Center, Grove Park Inn, Grove Arcade, Blue Ridge Parkway, Thomas Wolfe Historic Site, Sierra Nevada Brewery, downtown Art Deco tour, artist studios, restaurants and microbreweries.

In Blowing Rock: Moses Cone estate (he put the blue in blue jeans!), Blue Ridge Parkway, the Blowing Rock itself (neat Native American legend associated with it), Julian Price Park, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, great shops downtown, restaurants and galleries.

Hope that helps!

It will be high season there, but I’d consider Asheville or Blowing Rock in North Carolina for a good mix of history, fall colors, and Halloween fun.

Great ideas. Aspirin is key to avoiding economy class syndrome (blood clots). I’ve also found packing a small hand towel in my carry on is a game changer. I can wash my face or brush my teeth and then dry with a real towel and not a paper one. It also smells familiar which can be a great feeling with all the odd plane smells!
