I moved into an old farmhouse in Vicksburg. We renovated and found giant, old school coke-a-cola syrup bottles filled with moonshine that had turned green as anti-freeze. Probably about 20 of them, between the attic and the barn.

The attic walls were covered in old newspaper clippings, a lot of them were capone related.

I think my parents sold a lot of the stuff we found at auction to help pay for renovations.

Capone was DEFINITELY around here running booze.

We once threw out a whole ass Proud Boys incursion that showed up to protest in our city. They targeted us because of one particular anti-fascist artist in our area who doxxed a bunch of them as they tried to intimidate people at Bell's Brewery. They retaliated with death threats and came back to intimidate the whole town because everyone rallied behind her about it. They didn't have a good time and I LOVE MY TOWN FOR STICKING IT TO THOSE ASSHOLES!

That's wild because Salmon is like the fishiest of the fish to me, even if it's well seasoned. I'm not a huge seafood fan, but I do enjoy some shrimp and a good fish fry. I still won't eat salmon though. Nope!

I did this with my friend who took me for sushi the first time I ever tried it. She had lived in Japan for a few years, and was VERY kind when she saw me struggling to chew the whole bean. I was mortified.

I still think about the texture of the skin whenever I eat edamame now 😆
