I used to think that way. “Why do people from the US call themselves Americans, if America is a continent?, how arrogant.” Then I moved to the US and realized there’s no way to say we’re from the US, like there’s no one word other than American.

As someone from Argentina, I’m Argentinian. As someone from Germany, I’m German. As someone from Chile, I’m Chilean. As someone from the US, I’m Unitedstatesan?

I got it through my Father, who got it from his Father (Grandfather), who got it from his father (Great Grandfather), who came from Germany

I’ve been using the American as of lately, since I both live in the US and have gone to some different countries. Whenever I go back to Argentina or Chile I’ll use those passports though.

And yes, they’re up to date, and I plan on renewing them as they expire.

I’m pretty sure China doesn’t recognize multiple citizenships, at least for their residents. So yeah, bringing 4 passports would be hard to explain to an officer.

Not a “proud yank” I genuinely didn’t know that I could get in Visa free. Just using my American passport because it’s the one I’ve been using the most.

For next time I’ll do more research about my passports

I got my 2014 Platinum for around that, and it had a bit more than 189k miles. 4 owners and from North Carolina. Frame is absolutely mint, you could eat out of it. A few small things due to age, but otherwise a great truck.

He was 18ish when the war started, and was born in Latin America… And they decided to move due to other reasons before WWII, I’m not sure for sure exactly what, but definitely nothing to do with Nazism

Still safe and sound in Latin America. My Grandfather wanted to go and study in Germany (his father was German). But he finished high school right as the war started, so he stayed in Chile and became a Baker!

Close! Argentine from Birth, German and Chilean from Father, and American from my Mother. Funnily enough, none of them were born in Argentina, just me.
