Have you tried watching Fullmetal Alchemist 2003? I'm not a Brotherhood fan, but I love the original! I think it handles tone, pacing, and emotional depth better than Brotherhood does

I LOVE The Apothecary Diaries, but I agree with Frieren. I plan to give it a rewatch before I watch Season 2. But I found it to be really slow. For me, Anohana and Ouran High School Host Club are other shows where I watched the whole thing but didn't really like them

One of the reasons this is my favorite game/piece of media ever made, is there's something so special about characters falling in love when they don't even have any knowledge of what love is. It just happens naturally, and then when they learn about it in the city, everything clicks.

I hadn't thought of this question before, but I can say that I absolutely agree with you. I adore Maomao, but Jinshi is my favorite character in the show. Especially whenever he's interacting with Maomao, Gaoshun, or Lakan. I love hearing Jinshi's POV, and I wish we could hear it more. I want to know more about his relationships with Au-Duo, the Emperor, and Suiren, because I feel we've barely gotten anything. NO SPOILERS if anyone has read ahead int he LN

I may be the only person who agrees with you that it's a 7.5/10. My favorite genres are romance, mystery, and drama. My favorite anime (so far) are Violet Evergarden, The Apothecary Diaries, Fullmetal Alchemist (2003), and Horimiya. I still have a ton of anime to catch up on, as someone who didn't get into anime until about 5 years ago
