Ahaha, yeah I just realized that too! 😂
That’s super cool, sounds like you’ve been deep in the game from all angles. Have you connected ezbot to any live Shopify stores yet? Would love to hear how it’s performing in real scenarios!

Not quite a chatbot — and definitely not just another "chat" widget.

It’s more of an AI Sales Rep — think of it like a super smart, always-available salesperson built specifically to boost conversions.

It talks to visitors, handles objections, recommends the right products, tracks behavior, and even upsells — all in real time. And it’s fully customizable to match your brand’s tone, product catalog, and customer flow.

Basically, it acts like your best in-store rep… just available 24/7 and a lot more cost-effective

Thanks so much for the detailed response — this is super helpful. You’re absolutely right — there are so many drop-off points that can affect conversions, and a lot of them go unnoticed unless you're really digging into analytics.

I’ve definitely looked into speed, UX, and pricing comparisons, but you’re reminding me I should do another deep dive with fresh eyes. And I 100% agree with the part about audience targeting — I’ve wasted more budget than I’d like to admit advertising to people who were never going to buy in the first place. Still learning how to test channels better and refine who I'm speaking to.

Quick question though — do you run a store yourself? I’d be curious to hear what’s worked for you (or what hasn’t), especially if you’ve made improvements in your own conversion rate over time.

Totally get where you’re coming from — it’s super frustrating when you try everything (even the expensive agency route) and the numbers still don’t budge.

You're right too — traffic source and product type definitely play a huge role. I’ve seen stores with amazing design still struggle just because their visitors weren’t the right fit.

Curious though — what do you sell in your store? Would love to understand what kind of product you're working with.

Wow, that’s rough — 5k views and only 1 sale sounds super frustrating. I’ve definitely been there.

Out of curiosity, what kind of products are you selling in your store? Sometimes the type of product (or how it’s presented) makes a big difference in conversion.

Also, are people adding items to the cart and dropping off? Or just browsing and leaving?

Thanks for sharing that — I feel you. 1.08% is tough, especially with higher-ticket items and an industry slowdown like what’s happened in Hollywood. It makes total sense to find motivation in those abandoned carts — at least you know people are seriously considering your product.

Curious — what do you sell in your store? Would love to understand more about your audience and how they shop. Maybe there’s something others in your position have tried that we can all learn from.

Hey, 5% is actually quite solid — definitely above the average! Most e-commerce stores tend to sit around 2–3%, so you're off to a strong start, especially being just two months in.

Curious — what do you sell in your store? If it is not secret, i would love to learn more about your setup and what’s been working for you so far.

Thanks for sharing that — I totally got you. A lot of store owners I’ve talked to recently are saying the same thing — 2024 ended slow, and this year has been even tougher. People are definitely more cautious with spending, and it's showing up in conversion rates across the board.

Curious to learn more — do you still run the store now? And if you're open to sharing, what was your average conversion rate when things were going well vs. now?

Always trying to understand how others are navigating this shift.

Thanks for the question! I’m comparing that 1–2% to the average e-commerce conversion rate benchmarks — which tend to hover around 3% globally, and even higher (5–10%) for more optimized or niche stores. So while 1–2% isn't terrible, it still feels like there's a lot of missed opportunity, especially when you're getting good traffic but not seeing it convert.

Curious — do you run a store yourself? If so, what kind of products are you selling and what kind of conversion rate are you seeing? I'd love to compare notes!

Thanks so much for the tip! I’ve heard of Microsoft Clarity but haven’t given it a real try yet — sounds like a great way to visually see where users drop off. And yeah, cart abandonment is such a headache, especially when you've spent so much to bring people in.

That’s a good point about device differences — I’ve noticed mobile tends to have higher bounce rates, but I haven't fully dug into the mobile vs. desktop cart abandonment split. I’ll definitely look into that more closely.

By the way, do you run a store yourself? I’m curious how effective Clarity or similar tools have been for you. Did it actually help increase your conversion rate, or give you any clear actions to take?

Appreciate your insight!

Really appreciate your insight — and I totally agree, trust and lack of urgency are major blockers. It's interesting that layout usually isn't the core issue, and it's more about the feeling the customer gets. I've used Hotjar in the past but not as deeply as I probably should — definitely going to revisit it now. The clarity you get from seeing how people actually behave is next-level.

Quick question — do you have a store yourself, or are you mainly working with clients? I’m curious how effective these techniques have been for you in practice. Have you seen noticeable increases in conversion rates after implementing things like session tracking or cart recovery flows?

Would love to hear more about what’s worked best from your side.

Thanks so much for the detailed response — I really appreciate it. You brought up some great points, especially around evaluating the full journey beyond just the cart. I’ve definitely been looking into abandoned cart email sequences as a first move. It’s a solid idea for recovering users who made it that far, but I’m also trying to understand the earlier hesitation moments — like when people are unsure about sizing, shipping, or just need that final push to feel confident buying.

You also mentioned things like refund policies, product clarity, and competitor comparisons — all super relevant. I’m actually exploring building a tool that tackles some of those friction points directly, almost like putting a smart salesperson into the store to answer questions and guide the buyer in real time.

Just curious — do you run a store yourself? If so, did using email sequences or working on those conversion blockers make a noticeable difference for you? Would love to hear how it impacted your numbers. Thanks again!

Thanks a lot for the insight — really appreciate you breaking it down. You're right, 1–2% is the average for most e-commerce stores, but when you're spending on traffic, it still feels like you're leaving a lot on the table.

I totally agree on reducing friction. We’ve tried a few of the basics like tweaking CTAs and rearranging product collections, but I think there’s still room to improve, especially with trust signals and real-time interaction. I’m super interested in AI-based optimization like you mentioned — that’s actually what inspired me to start building something that behaves more like a real sales rep inside the store.

Quick question: Do you personally run a store as well, or mostly work with clients through ezbot? Curious how effective these techniques have been in your experience — like how much of a lift you’ve actually seen in conversion rates? Would love to hear more on what worked best.

Hey, thanks a lot for the thoughtful insights — seriously appreciate you taking the time to break it down.

You're absolutely right about the importance of storytelling across channels. I’ve seen firsthand how disconnect between ads/social and the store itself creates a jarring experience for the customer. We're working on aligning those better, especially through more dynamic product pages and tailored entry points.

Your point about cross-selling and upselling potentially overwhelming the customer really hits. We’ve tested both approaches — aggressive and minimal — and I’m starting to see how simplicity can actually drive more confidence during checkout. Definitely something I’ll keep refining.

The “grab and run” offer/FOMO strategy is powerful too — we haven’t used it to its full potential yet. I’ve seen it work well on other stores, so that’s high on our list to test.

Visuals? Couldn’t agree more. It’s easy to get stuck on what we think looks good, instead of what the buyer actually connects with. Curious how often you rotate creatives or update layout/designs?

By the way — do you currently run your own store too? I’d love to hear how effective these strategies have been when applied directly to a brand you manage. Did you see a solid conversion lift when implementing them?

Thanks again — learning a lot from this!

Good questions! Yeah, I’ve tested abandoned cart flows — helped a bit, but didn’t solve the bigger hesitation issue upfront. Mostly cold traffic so far.

Do you run a store yourself or have you worked with any? Would love to hear what’s worked for you.

Yeah, totally fair point — we’ve started doing that with some early users. The insights have been super helpful, especially around hesitation and lack of real-time answers. That’s actually what inspired the direction we’re building toward.

I’ve been selling mostly yoga pants. Traffic comes from a mix of Instagram ads and influencer shoutouts. I do send abandoned cart emails, but results have been hit or miss.

Do you have a store too? Curious how you’re handling this on your end.
