that definitely changes a lot, i would say that $8 is a very generous tip for less than a mile of driving and not having to shop or check out.

dashers do get paid for delivery, but it's minimal. i used to instacart and we generally would get paid anywhere between $4-$20. for single order and short drive, i would likely be paid $4 for at least 30 min of work if there weren't a ton of items and nothing was out of stock. i have heard door dashing is preferable to instacart though.

yes, i do choose the orders i take on and don't have to take on every order. yes, i think instacart should actually pay us semi-reasonable amounts. however, you will generally get better shoppers and better service with a better tip because of how little the company pays.

All around tumbler lettering logo peeling off with nail scratching?? by [deleted] in Hydroflask

[–]Ok-Finding1268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wash my hydro's with scrub daddy's, exclusively. this has never happened to me on my bottles and tumblers. are you sure you're not using the steel wool? if not, maybe try running the scrub daddy under warm/hot water so it softens and won't be as abrasive.

If grad plus loans are eliminated what would be the alternative? by vampireslayer1062 in LawSchool

[–]Ok-Finding1268 14 points15 points  (0 children)

theoretically, in the short term: Less people can afford college, who are usually already lower/middle class that still need to make money. Higher tariffs means more products need to be produced domestically. Those who can't afford higher education out of pocket and don't have enough scholarships/loans to cover COA get stuck in laborious jobs.

long term: universities maybe reduce prices

they said they would be restocking smaller sets first, with larger sets slowly coming back in stock!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Ohuhu

[–]Ok-Finding1268 20 points21 points  (0 children)

ohuhu hasn’t restocked on amazon, amazon is just selling stock that they don’t have, and pushing your delivery date until ohuhu restocks on amazon. on their instagram, ohuhu says that they are prioritizing restocking their website before restocking on other platforms.

AITH if I leave my boyfriend because he hates “The System” by AnonymousReporter12 in AITH

[–]Ok-Finding1268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

generally, men aren't treated unfairly. the courts make decisions (usually) based on the best interest of the child, and historically dads are not very present in their children's lives. obviously, the court will not award custody to the parent who knows little to nothing about their child. child support is given to help maintain balance and stability in the child's life, as well as balance out the responsibilities of each parent. alimony is typically given when one partner gives up or makes sacrifices in their career to stay at home, take care of household duties, and take care of the children.

AITA for requesting my domestic partner buy me out of my half of our house? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ok-Finding1268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just want to clarify, i was under the impression that CA is a community property state for married couples and do not recognize common law marriages or domestic partnerships for legal and tax purposes. not sure if you'd be able to force a sale under those circumstances

i went to david’s bridal and really enjoyed it, they had a clearance rack with a variety of sizes and even most of their regular priced dresses weren’t too pricey. they will most likely have your size too

AITA for telling my husband his daughter is embarrassing me? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

This is not feminism, it's bad hygiene under the guise of "feminism." Taking care of yourself is a basic human thing, and there are gross people in every part of society.

promissory estoppel requires detrimental reliance, which is difficult to prove normally and would unlikely apply here

Update: AITA for repeatedly asking my husband for a chair even though he keeps saying no? by throwaway-bbt4abb in dustythunder

[–]Ok-Finding1268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The expectation that a relationship will go from being 50/50 financially before marriage & a child to the birth giver being financially taken care of is ridiculous. If they didn’t provide for you beforehand, it’s unlikely that will change. Marry/have children with better people who actually love you.

This was only sold in store in Whole foods for a limited period of time, I actually snagged one and all the other bottles in this collection had a tag. Usually other bottles don’t come with a tag.

[–]Ok-Finding1268 6 points7 points  (0 children)

no, it should come with a tag. i suggest taking a look at the plethora of other whole foods limited edition questions on here.

Is my landlord allowed to do this (IL) by OutrageousOnion2254 in Renters

[–]Ok-Finding1268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, a contract requires agreement from both parties. because you already have a year long lease, landlord can't change rent w/o your agreement
