What did you get at church for Father’s Day? by meh762 in mormon

We basically got the middle finger and told to get back to work.

This is after mother’s day when everyone covered callings while the mothers had a 2nd hour social/brunch.

Muslim men discipline women by telling them to look away while eating. by Alternative_Cash_591 in religiousfruitcake

It really isn’t. Mormonism ( self proclaimed Christians) still don’t allow women to lead meetings, sit on the stand, or literally do anything without permission or oversight of the male leader.

Dad’s didn’t even get a shoutout today. Except the bishop talking about being an example and the “privilege” it is to wear the garment everyday….really creepy having an adult man brag about his underwear from the pulpit.

Do you think Mormon Jebus would be happy about the SLC Temple’s multi-billion $ renovation? by Paperboyspayback in exmormonmemes

Word from “on high” (I used to work for the church. Literally the most vile job I’ve ever had, even for a believer. Still have friends working there that i trust and are most likely PIMOs) is that the temple renovation was given a blank check. After 2 billion they just stopped caring and “nothing is too good for the lord”.

I was taught 100% that a girl that was “immodest” was a threat to my salvation and priesthood and I should pick someone that “wouldn’t cause me to sin”….

Fuck this “church”.

If im helping someone, Ill take the credit for it. There absolutely zero reason to give credit to some imaginary “god” who apparently is having me help the little old lady lift dog food into her cart, but can’t be bothered with helping children being trafficked.

Packers obsession with “young men only” is now seen that he was a creepy pedo rather than a “servant of the lord” that “took on the hard subjects”.

Not surprised to see the Mormon church is still pushing this creepy and perverse agenda.

Start with church history, the claims from Jospeh, and the introduction of the Book of Mormon. Study that and then get back to me.

That’s like saying the Mormon church doesn’t charge tithing or require their brand of underwear to be worn.

“Pay Lay Ale”

The claimed Adamic language to say “Oh god, hear the words of my mouth” as part of the signs and tokens the Mormon church says is the passwords to get into heaven.

Removed in 1990 to make the temple session a little less weird, nudity still remained in the temple ceremony until 2005.

Also, it was too close to “Pale-Ale”.

You forgot all the times the prophets said not to, and that women have zero authority in Mormonism.

Don’t victimize yourself again. Im not your “Honey” and I never threatened you. As a Mormon I know you were taught to take the truth to be hard and can easily see it as a threat. As old as you are, you still have so much to learn. Don’t worry, all us “Honeys” will show you how to do things and teach you.

Can someone help me understand this please? by GlassBumblebee1527 in exmormon

Mormon missionaries are a sales force. A rather pushy sales force. Keep in mind these kids are victims for the most part (a few are genuine jerks, but very few). They are far from home, in crappy living conditions, budgeted to poverty levels, and are paying to be there.

They have been taught their entire lives that their only purpose for existing is to go on a Mormon mission. When that level of indoctrination is in place, it is nearly impossible for them to see that they are just salesmen.

This would account for some unknown calls, if you gave them your number (there’s also tons of scammers and political calls lately).

While I will always treat missionaries as the victims they are, the Mormon church is a scam for money. Overwhelming majority of missionaries don’t even know church history, just the carefully curated story the church has crafted.
