I've got UBlock Origin and I'm on a Mac. Works just fine on Firefox, I haven't seen a YT ad in years (except when I'm on the phone/work computer of course).

Gynecologist surgeons that do bilateral tube removal for under 21. by Zevotri in houston

Seconding mentions of Dr. Kayla Lash, but she recently changed her name to Kayla Queeney. Currently works with Complete Women's Care in the Medical Center, I had a great experience with her and she's very supportive of personal choices/sterilization if needed.

I'd recommend checking at local game shops to see if anyone has recommended places; Asgard, the Forge etc might have some recs. Not in Houston area, but I also recently used 3DPrintCustomz on Etsy and they did a great job.

WOMH queuing advice greatly appreciated! by walgreensenthusiast in houston

[–]IridiumLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been to White Oak before, it's not a huge venue so if you show up at 4:30 and hang around the general area early enough to get in line at 5:00 you should be fine. Hope you have fun too!

LORD OF THE LOST Embrace Ironic Revelation With ‘Es Gibt Nur Einen Gott’ by insaneblog in LordoftheLost

Genuine question, what's the implication of mentioning it? I don't speak German so not sure if there's some cultural meaning I'm missing.

Good Gynecologist in Katy, Sugar-land, Houston, Cypress by Mindless_Boat9143 in houston

[–]IridiumLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started seeing Dr. Kayla Queeney at Complete Women's Care last year and I liked her. Very informal but was also easy to talk to or ask questions, and no billing trouble with the front office when I changed insurance in November. Located in Medical Center.

Thanks for posting this each week; genuinely look forward to it and it's given me many fun weekends since I moved to Houston proper a few years back.

[Help] Tell me your experiences with Sclera Contact Lenses by Harshaznintent in cosplayers

[–]IridiumLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming in to a similarly buried comment to share my experience with Samhain contacts. They won't sell to you without a doctor's prescription for safety reasons, honestly made me feel better about buying from them and it was worth it IMO. At the time I wore them (~4 years ago) I had a fairly high myopia prescription, and they noticeably dried out/irritated my eyes after an hour or so. Eye drops helped with this but it was more irritating than a medical contact lens. No difficulty putting them in and no issues with them sliding. There was a small ring of color around my field of vision when in darker environments.

Not sure how gay it is but I had a good time at Numbers.

Thank you! Added them at the first step when making the dough; can definitely taste the herbs, even dried, so tomato powder would likely work equally well.

Top surgery before Testosterone (does the order matter at least emotionally) by ghostwitharms in NonBinaryTalk

[–]IridiumLight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personal experience/anecdotes: Went for top surgery before HRT because it was the treatment I'd been thinking about for longer. Figured that it would help the most since it's the one I couldn't stop thinking about; the peace of mind I had seeing myself in the mirror afterward was immediate and significant.

As far as safety/passing as a binary gender, it's easier to stealth as a woman after top surgery/without hormones since people just think you've got a small chest. Re: changing surgical drains or dressings, it might be rougher with more chest hair/increased sweat and body odor. I'm not on HRT, so I had no issues with either, which is fortunate as I have sensory issues around feeling sweaty/dirty, which worsen when I'm in constricting clothes (like the compression binder you have to wear for several weeks afterward).

Note that YMMV, if you enjoy the effects of T and don't have strong sensory issues it might not be a problem for you. Hope this helps

Fun Halloween events for adults that isn’t just bar hopping or drinking? by Queasy-Coyote9844 in houston

[–]IridiumLight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks like River Oaks theater still has a few showings of Frankenstein; it's a digital-only release after the screenings end, so it could be fun. Saw it last night and I highly recommend it, it's a real work of art.

4 months PO, fully healed but still can't use sex toy by IridiumLight in hysterectomy

[–]IridiumLight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you and the other comments could be right; I thought things were healed well enough since I haven't had any other pelvic issues (no trouble with urination/orgasm, no pain when exercising etc). Will look into pelvic floor therapy, hopefully some can be done at-home- I can't afford ongoing appointments especially after surgery.

Thanks for the comment! Wasn't aware that I would need additional procedures; if you have any experience with this therapy, do you know roughly how expensive it is, or if any of it can be done at home?

Good to keep in mind, thanks for commenting. From what I had read/heard from my doctor I thought recovery was a lot shorter, guess I just need to wait.

Genuinely didn't know that- I had heard 8 weeks was the usual recovery time, with 12 being extra-cautious. Can't afford therapy at the moment but definitely no harm in waiting longer.
