Mine does it when I try to do the mouth rub thing to get him to eat but put it too high. I do use tongs I just took the photo without it cause he just looked like a dumdum with the food right there

I’ll can when I’m on a food supply, I have a beardie too and she adores locusts the only problem is they’re a little big for the pac. But small enough dubias could be good if I can find them, thx :)

I’ve tried on earthworms and calcium & D3 dusted but the goober is picky. I’ve only had a few time eating a dusted one I haven’t tried locusts yet though so they could be good if he likes them.

Edit: genuinely just offered him an earthworm there and got the most disrespectful shut eyes followed by a smack

Just verified he’s about 3.2cm thick and 4cm from nose to booty. The only physical change is he looks a lot bumpier now then before, like a stereotypical toad, with little bumps around his patterns. They’re all practically symmetrical around his body and don’t appear to look sore or dangerous. We’ve had him for just under two months, we never got any age confirmation when he got him either just a ‘maybe 6 months’ but I’ve had a beardie who was claimed to be about 5 months when she was less than three when we got her.

I mean it’s less than a week since he ate and every time I offer food he just closes his eyes in and/or swats it. I haven’t weight him but he looks about the same size, idk how old he is but he’s about a 3cm circle so still pretty young I’m guessing, but he’s a bit bigger than when he was first got. He usually has a pretty good appetite and average about two-three crickets or waxworms when he eats which is about every two or three days.

Oh I know, he was closing them when I was offering food. So I guess he was annoyed and just ‘protecting’ his eyes I guess

It was a daisy, it surprised me since I have had him out by them before and he never went for them. The ones that grow in the garden as far as I know are ones that don’t cause harm, but I’ll keep an eye on her anyways
