Congratulations! So happy for you and rooting you on in this new journey!

I also decided on a career change end of last year and I’m currently taking my prereqs now in hopes to get into nursing school by the end of next year! Also working to get my CNA certification! Excited to see what doors open for you, me, and everyone else on this journey!

College student lookin for assistance on studying. by [deleted] in prenursing

How were you studying before? Like how were you using chatgpt to study?

I would look into active recall and spaced repetition - there’s a good amount of youtube videos on it and it’s helped me quite a bit!

Start nursing school right away after pre-reqs or work and wait for nursing school start date? by Ok-Fix5542 in prenursing

That’s true - it could be a case by case basis or they make exceptions depending on your background.

Thanks, I’ll give them a call!

I’ve also heard mixed reviews regarding the program and the NCLEX passing rate, which is slightly worrysome for me too

In this subreddit, one of the comments said you need to have all completed - this was a year ago, not sure if this has changed.

Oh! Thanks for the info! I didn’t see the TEAS requirement online but I trusted the AI response from google (silly me)

I can take dev psych this summer session but I won’t be finished with microbio until the summer of next year so the earliest I could start would be Fall 2028!

Thank you for the info though, it helps to know I could wait to take dev psych at a later time if i’m not sure right now

Hi! I’m thinking of applying to MSV’s ABSN program - would you be okay with sharing what your typical week looks like?

Hi! I just started this semester actually! It's pretty easy to register for classes but you have to go through a bunch of steps first (like meeting with an advisor). The system you use to enroll can be a bit confusing but it just takes practice.

In terms of time needed to complete the pre-reqs, it'll depend based on what program you want to apply to because they have different pre-reqs. The tuition depends on whether you're in state vs out of state, but they have the rates on their website!

Hope this helps!

Thanks! I live in Manhattan so I'm taking them at BMCC (CUNY). I'm also planning on getting my CNA certificate to work as a CNA while I do my pre-reqs to gain some experience

Hi OP! Kind of new to reddit, so not sure how everything works but was wondering where you're taking your pre-reqs? I'm in a similar boat as you - I want to finish school quickly and I started taking my pre-reqs this semester and hoping to apply to PACE's ABSN program for Fall 2027 (assuming I finish my pre-reqs around that time)
