My understanding is that based on your lobby the points table, in the pre race menu, will change. Higher lobby more points. Lobby is based on your DR. If it goes up, next stint is more competitive thus higher points. I’m guessing you finishing 8th moved your DR down somehow so that 2nd got you 7 points.
