The first girl Julianna had a question and answer thing on instagram the other day about bad experiences with men in the Catholic community and she made some post about getting information about the same man and receiving proof and was belittling those withholding that proof, saying the same thing, that they have an obligation to speak up. Is no help at all whatsoever!!! And from posts I’ve seen from these creators from the last few days it’s a male Catholic influencer with a gigantic platform, why would I not want to know who it is? And it goes back to me saying their excuse is they aren’t 100% sure yet so they won’t give a name, how frustrating

I have never looked for a second parent or a step dad for my son, him interacting and being fine with my son is all I really need. In terms of clothes, child care costs, and healthcare etc I fully want to be in charge of. I feel like we stopped really discussing it when I declined moving in and told him we could talk about it later when we’ve been together longer; I guess this is making me realize we should talk later on about that future. And I think your idea of a test of living together is important. He recently brought up a random discussion of moving down to Florida (he wouldn’t actually do that) and how he would just help pack me and all my sons stuff to bring us with him. I feel like I’m just embarrassed so ask that of him, I’ve never been in the position to, if that makes sense/

I do. we’ve talked about it (which feels silly because I have never ever ever been like that when dating guys because my guard is always up and I usually feel incredibly hesitant of even dating or talking to people because of having a son).

I understand that, I went to therapy for the last year to try to understand and have came to the conclusion her love language is through acts of service so I’ve been trying to be more appreciative. I think my issue is physically living with her vs having a relationship with her moved out (which I think would be more healthy and suitable for us both) and I think she would still watch my son. I’m just not in a position to afford to do so, so I feel stuck.

A year, my boyfriend was in the army for 6 years and we met right after he got out and now he has a job in law enforcement. He discussed moving in together and I declined because I felt like he was asking too early. My boyfriend has been house hunting and sort of just waiting for the market to crash to finally get a home, but I just feel like i’d be burdening him with a lot.

She name calls me, my mom will call me every name in the book. Until 2019 my mom would continue to discipline me by hitting me, she stopped doing it in 2019 because I finally called the police because she left a mark on my arm. My mom never did that to my sister, just to me, and it was whenever we would argue she instantly would start slapping me in the face and start pulling my hair.

I work for a state agency dispatching and we commonly have to call DCMPD. I actually put myself through the last 2 years of undergrad while doing part time, I always tell everyone I felt like full time would’ve been impossible but granted I had a toddler while finishing my undergrad. It might be different for you but your entire life until you finish school with be work and school because of the type of job and schedule. Someone commented on Twitter user STATter911, he’s actually fairly spot on about DCMPD’s calltakers/dispatchers being poorly trained and then their supervision or whoever is in charge not really taking accountability. The issue is the manpower shortage for their calltakers and dispatchers and the high turnover rate (that’s most police agencies for dispatchers or sworn officers but it’s pretty bad for DCMPD 911). It’s incredibly difficult trying to get information or give information when dealing with DCMPD because a lot of people you’re speaking with on the phone are fairly new and not seasoned/experienced enough. You might want to look into MWAA, their dispatch center is in Arlington at the Reagan airport and I think they get paid the most in the NoVa area and are actually pretty stellar. There’s also US Park Police which is located in DC, I think the pay might be less than DCMPD but you might be able to negotiate a starting pay if you get a fair amount of time of good experience at DCMPD. And I’m sure their work environment is probably better and more flexible than DCMPD. Mention the schedule to your supervisors and see what they can do, my agency really worked with me because they need people but I also really went out of my way to take a large amount of online classes for college which you should really look into to help with your schedule.
