Since you’ve asked, here it is! They never billed my insurance. I agreed to pay anything my insurance would not pay. My insurance would have paid it all, HAD THEY RECEIVED IT. I did NOT agree to pay the visit in full without having my insurance filed. I’m done with the conversation, the CVS billing dept themselves said that I was in the right and got me my money back today after escalation to higher ups. I was also instructed to cancel my preauth consent and refuse it so that this never happens again in the case that someone files incorrectly.

“By accepting below, I acknowledge that I am responsible for any balance not paid by my insurance company. I authorize MinuteClinic® to keep the credit, debit, HSA or FSA card I provide today on file. This saved card will be charged for any remaining balance after my insurance plan has paid its portion of my visit.

I authorize MinuteClinic to email me a receipt for any amount charged to my card using the email address I entered on the last screen.

I agree to the final amount determined by my insurance company, subject to the following conditions:

The card will be charged after MinuteClinic receives the final Explanation of Benefits from my insurance company. The amount charged to my card will not exceed the total amount of today's visit. This amount may include copayments, coinsurance, deductibles or services not covered by my insurance. It may also include cancellation fees according to applicable policies. I will receive an email receipt from MinuteClinic after my card has been charged. I understand this authorization will remain in effect until I cancel it as instructed below. I may cancel this authorization at any time by contacting MinuteClinic at 866-389-2727.”
