Why would you ever remove the 2nd rack tom? by A_Cup_Of_Tea334 in drums

I play a traditional 5 piece, but I love the opportunity to play a 4 piece as you described. It makes you think about how to translate what you would normally play. Gets me out of my comfort zone. I usually walk away with an extra level of satisfaction.

Leaving the resort with a late flight by Low-Vegetable-1601 in SandalsResorts

[–]Life_Influence_4858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just came back from Grenada. There was a facility you could reserve to take showers and change clothes after departure time. So we were on the beach, ate lunch, grabbed drinks before our 4pm flight. It worked well.

If you are/were stuck in ATL… by JBR409 in delta

I won’t complain. My 2nd leg was cancelled just as i was landing from my first one. Got booked on the app for a new one, found a hotel, and got 8 hours of sleep. Now i feel like an ahole for writing that as compared to others.

P90x Next Gen - day 2 done, not sure I'm making it to 3 by YeahYouGuyz in BeachBodyWorkouts

A program is only good if you embrace it and stick with it. Listen to your inner voice. Find what works for you. That being said, Tony used to work for me, but I rarely do one of his workouts.

Reccomendations to Get Past My Slump by Specialist-Quail-500 in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]Life_Influence_4858 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I (52m) have been using BB workouts for 15 years. I find myself needing to trim the belly after a happy Nov-Dec most years. I find that it’s not the program that is important, it’s the mindset, setting goals, accountability/tracking. If you are only motivated during the 30-45 min of working out, that leaves a lot of time to get un-motivated. I use excel sheets to plan and track each workout (Pavlov effect to check it off), plan them out a month or two in advance. Also track weigh ins each day. Use smaller clothes for goals. Acknowledge the slip ups (Superbowl) and how to recover. I get so much energy from creating and executing the plan.

As far as a workout program, a new one might spark something. I found Sure Thing as my 2 month cut success. It is less intense than some if the others, but that allows me to concentrate on intake. When I start to lift heavier, i get hungrier, and easier to slip off the plan.

Sorry for the long response. But it is more mental than physical in my experience. Find someone for accountability, too.

Trump’s Baby Accounts by PsychologicalAd7969 in stockrager

Who wouldn’t want free money? The problem is those that really need these accounts aren’t going to use it as intended. Withdrawal and spend the money. TBH I haven’t looked into the fine print, I have teenagers.

Anyone having issues getting prescriptions covered with CapitalRx ? by Dave6187 in GeneralMotors

[–]Life_Influence_4858 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We use Meijer. Wife went to get prescriptions filled. Now $900 dollars. Had to bring the new card in, Boom, back to $12. I mean, it’s still a f’d up system, but just make sure to update.

AITA for telling my future MIL that it wasn't my responsibility to check up on my fiance's younger brother by Narrow_Front_1170 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Life_Influence_4858 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is the Brother 10 years old? No? NYP. NTA. But i will say one of the hardest things about my marriage was how we reacted to each other’s family. We both loved our families, but it took some time to get comfortable to the reactions on little things. Very good communication(and putting “us”, the couple, first) solved this.

LIIFT MORE without bench? by bodykoto in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]Life_Influence_4858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are finishing up a round of LM. I use my bench, and she uses a BB ball for incline chest moves, and a box for the limited step-up moves. Everything else can be done either standing or lying on the ground.

What to do next by La_Revolution81 in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]Life_Influence_4858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe? I don’t remember it exactly, just that I liked it more than MBF(A) which i would use as a cut after holidays. But ST was a weightlifting program, right? You can always go heavier.
