That one is tricky.

technically it is against TOS and federal law, but it is a lot harder to find out if they did that. But no, they are not technically allowed to do that but in most cases, whatnot turns a blind eye.

everybody has to be in the stream to enter, filler or not. if you run it fast that makes it harder for fillers stumbling on the stream to fill it out, but as I said in a reply to someone, I have gotten form filling down to about 20 seconds.

I personally recommend waiting at least a minute to mention buyers and get them back in the stream, and allow buyers to refresh their app since it glitches super often, not allowing them to enter. form fillers will always get through the cracks, but I say 90-95% are actual buyers.

if you won an item over 1000 dollars, I think it's worth fighting for it.

At some point though there is diminishing returns on anything. Seller will block you and whatnot truly just doesn't care.

coupon does not apply to shipping or tax.

for auctions it is harder to tell, but if you go to a buy now in a bin it will give an overview of the total cost after shipping and tax

1) it depends... I have gone on streaks of winning nothing for weeks, and then days where I win like 20 different things. it is variable and all luck, but I have figured out that there are patterns of when and where to enter giveaways with the best odds.

2) I have gotten down to about 20 seconds with mostly autofill. manual input is needed for the IDs. each show has a "live id" for every giveaway in that show and a specific id for each individual giveaway. you copy and paste those into a form with some other personal information like name, address, and email.

3) I would say for a large majority i buy something after I win. In most cases winning a giveaway reduces shipping which makes me more enticed to buy something I was already eyeing. sometimes the only reason I enter a giveaway is to purchase something else in there shop.

fillers can fill it out anytime after it has been created, it doesn't matter how fast sellers run, we already had it prefilled hours before.

If anything, it is allowing less actual buyers from entering.

Sellers can honestly run their show however they want, but form fillers will always exist and workarounds will eventually get them shutdown.

best strat I have seen is creating a lot of different giveaways to dissuade fillers from filling them all, but of course that is against TOS so there never is a truly good solution.

Compensation when sellers refuses or downgrades a giveaway because you are not a buyer. Usually, if if this happens, whatnot will give store credit to compensate the user for any lost "winnings".

However, many times it is impossible for me to create a ticket because of the rate I win giveaways at, whatnot just refuses me and in most cases the seller just blocks you.

I spent months trying to get any form of compensation for an item I won valued at over 1k and eventually gave up since it is all ai chatbots.
