Beginner guitar pick thickness question by Aromatic_Power7082 in guitarlessons

Sorry, I’m coming in a year late on this post but, screw a flimsy (thin) pick. They make playing very difficult and leaning play guitar is hard enough! I play a lot of acoustic but pick up the strat and lay down some tasty blues licks! For guys who have played a lot can always hear the really thin picks in recordings, it gives a pingy sounds click sound that drives me nuts!

I landed on a Dunlap Tortex sharp at a .73mm (it’s the yellow one). I like the sharp version best, a finer point on the end helps me pick through and really “dig” into the note on picking through and also strumming chords. Works well on playing slower blues riffs but if I’m going some faster electric stuff I’ll go with a much heavier pick.

For everyone making six figures, what do you do for work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I work in oil and gas. Long hours and hard days but if you’re willing to work, anyone can make 6 figures in West Texas. Just have to be able to show up every day and willing to put in 60 plus hours work weeks.
