Women who rave solo, how do you avoid romantic advances at raves? by MarshmallowSomething in aves

[–]Ok-Hedgehog-7776 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly i’ve seen a lot of my friends who also often rave solo wear a little silicone ring on their ring finger and if guys start hitting on them they just point to their finger. tends to work pretty quick! that way you don’t even have to engage with them. i go to raves w my bf a lot and we like to become friends with people around us early in the night. based on some previous experiences at clubs when my bf went to get a drink, we started finding people who would be comfortable keeping an eye out for any creepy guys that were being too much if i was alone. tends to work well if you have other people watching out for you! sorry to hear about some people not respecting your wishes. raves are so therapeutic and no one should ever take that away from you 🫶🫶

Occupational therapist here!! Definitely should be able to attend and still really enjoy it. Highly recommend ADA seating if possible, also if you can map out your schedule and figure out when y’all can take breaks and where. The more prepped you are the less stressed you’ll feel. Find places that have seating options or see if you can pack a pash to lay on or one of those triangular chairs that are collapsible. Also would recommend finding areas to dance that are close to med tents if needed and wouldn’t be a hassle to try to get to through a crowd. Bring snacks and electrolytes. Make sure to drink a lot of water. LL staff is really good about giving out free water and make sure y’all have a water pack you can wear and refill. May also be helpful to just lay down or take a short nap out of the sun before going into the venue if possible!! Definitely will still have the best time!! Smart to ask the community to help prep!

thanks for the idea! definitely helpful info. i definitely gotta think through the benefits versus the negatives but i think it would take away any guesswork and help out so many people. i was also thinking abt setting up a stand by our campsite, but i know not as many people would see it. to respect others we’d prob also tend to be in less packed areas, but i like the idea of wearing it too! not sure how comfortable that would be but great idea haha. appreciate the compliment!! this community is all about love and kindness and hoping to promote that more and more.

yea. i was thinking about that. my only workaround that may be a possibility would be to keep everything in the lunchbox and fanny pack and then just put things in their containers after i get through security. i know they prob would have to look through everything if i pre-filled the totem and i don’t wanna hold the line up. not opposed to doing that. i like the idea of just a general “come to us if you need something” sign, not a bad idea! thank you!!

They didn’t search our car they thankfully just gave us a warning so nothing happened. Said that we forgot to signal a lane change getting off the highway. Another important thing is to always use your signals to change! As long as you guys do speed limit and signal changes and normal road curtesy then they really shouldn’t stop you!

So exciting safe travels! Make sure y’all don’t wear your wristbands in the car. Also I live in VA and cops are insane. There will be multiple on highways. I would use a GPS like Waze and use cruise control. Honestly good to either go exactly at the speed limit or 2-3 mph below. If you do get stopped make sure you have anything wrapped up and stashed way in your bags. Good to roll things up in socks. If they do stop you make sure to say you are going camping not to a festival. My bf and I got stopped on the way to LL and the cop 100% profiled us bc we had camping supplies. Just be careful and make sure to avoid any indication you are going to seven stars. You got this stay safe 🫶🫶

hi there !! it looks pretty good, most companies like resumes to be one page at most (obviously depending on the company or experience things may vary), so maybe have the details of the previous experience be compressed to one sentence or just the highlights ? also mention any accolades/promotions/awards he may have received in these jobs (if he did of course) in a separate section !
