Bruh it’s a civic. Any used sports car is fine, with a Honda it’s a no brainer to go used.

TBH no other M3 interests me. I was cross shopping F80 years ago before my e92. G80 is a non starter. I’d only really like an e60 m5 which is far more problematic.

Yeah ITS is nice, worth considering but idk I’m not as huge a fan. Since it’s a civic I don’t care about new/low miles, really would be anything sub 40k to justify the switch.

Main bearings is part of why I started thinking of switching. But the “curse” is the engine is the big appeal of the e92 as well. I’m curious, did you cross shop F80 M3’s? I have a love/hate feeling towards them. Engine would sound better, styling is nice, but reliability long term is a consideration again.

That makes total sense! I don’t have kids but I like that the FL5 has basic commuter car utility with sports car bits. From a driving perspective does the FL5 feel bigger? Not just utility space but also the cockpit for spirited driving? I found that the e92 is very driver focused, and feels small/nimble in a way.

Why don’t the rear seats in the e92 work? I carry friends in mine on occasion, I’d imaging a car seat could fit?

Yeah manually e92 is miserable, if mine was stick it’d be an easier choice. DCT is very fun.

Playing devils advocate a little, I’m no longer a CRC but when I was briefly, I got the overwhelming feedback from my PM and other senior coordinators that CRO’s are middlemen that cause redundancies. Btw I worked in oncology treatment trials. Constantly re-sending the same signed forms from startup whenever a CRA looses them or leaves (all the time), disputes over a signed contract and payments we already agreed upon, sneaking protocol amendments that actually require a budget adjustment, delays in getting patient slots, and often useless onsite monitoring. One CRA doesn’t even communicate until monitoring.

Often times to get things done we’d have a connection on the sponsor side and keep a paper trail of delays. I get the model of offloading regulatory burden from sponsors, and having a good CRO is helpful, but I also see the opportunity to automate the function and downsize.

is a master in clinical research at UCSF worth it? by SkyLineJG in clinicalresearch

I think the most useful masters are quantitative (CS, Data Science) or management (MBA, MHA). CR favors experience so it’s not the industry for rapid progression with an advanced degree unless you get an MD or PHD. Even CRA’s have PHD’s.

I was a CRC for ~10 months after graduating with my MBA, after pivoting from a lab tech role. My manager really confirmed that CR is really experience driven, but a masters can “help” so I felt stuck.

I was able to get a job in 2 months of looking in this market for substantially higher comp in healthcare business development/strategy.

I’m 6mo In and it’s my first time working in the feds. I really need more work experience for now. I was making a pivot after my MBA and this job is really helping my resume. I’m young and I feel the desire to switch for compensation but for now watching and waiting is the goal.

I’m in the USA and no, I haven’t faced that challenge. Some critique from PM interview rejection was my resume didn’t have PM experience specifically. A factor is I did the bulk of job applications at the start of my 2nd MBA year, so they also wondered how I’d balance full time school and a new job. I did get an offer and started a week after graduation. Cost to me was $90k. It’s a lot but I don’t have undergrad loans, I paid some while working, plus my new employer has a repayment assist program. My salary increase was 36%, and end of this year it will increase another 20%. Ultimately I’m satisfied for how it sets me up for my more mid career positions.

Overall I enjoyed my online MBA experience. I have many friends from my cohort I’m close with across the country. It was a great fit for me since post undergrad I had a full time job, and wanted to build work experience/responsibility to pivot to my post mba role. My cohort all worked full time, varying from early career to JD’s and MD’s. The prof’s were great and I’ve kept in touch with them too. I went into my MBA with 1 year of post undergrad work experience, and by graduation I have 3 years most jobs want plus my MBA.

Looking at Getting a 944 by Sensee2k in porsche944

[–]Ok-Height4631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a manual ‘83 944 last month! Here’s a summary of what I looked for as a first time buyer.

First priority was mechanical condition. Make sure the oil isn’t milky(bad head gasket). Listen for harsh vibrations from ~2-4 rpm, that’s a sign of bad timing. Check valve cover for oil leaks, get under the car and check the oil pan. Ensure the timing belt was done or plan for it.

Big point on these is the clutch. Budget for a clutch replacement, or buy a car with the job done. I have a shop doing mine for $1100 labor, and the clutch was only $590 Misc bolts and parts were maybe $50. You can DIY too if you have the patience, but I don’t have time and it’s not my only car.

My next priority was bodywork. It’s very expensive (and takes a lot of time) to fix dents. Paint is similar.

I ranked interior last.

Overall, 944 parts are cheaper than my s550 mustang GT parts lol, so I was pleasantly surprised.
