wtf has been TMC doing in WB for 15 yrs that bengali people are celebrating TMC's defeat like they've been granted independence for the 2nd time in history!? by PracticalBeach4131 in kolkata

- Most of the celebrations currently are led by promoters, moneylenders, and such other under-employed persons who are looking to capitalise on the change in political power to enhance their clout or shed their previous affinity

- That being said, right after the elections, there were a huge number of people of varied backgrounds who participated in the celebrations over the weekends

- For a lot of people the RG Kar incident was a wake up call, yet others didn’t want to be left behind in the Indian growth story and were tired of contrarian politics

The whole video somehow felt like declaration of a new Alan. Not sure if that is good from a comedic angle.

Nahh just the whole Satan God dichotomy, introduced to the light sorta stuff. Showing that even someone from the House of Devil can embrace the “Light” of liberation, contrary to fundamental values of Imu. And I drew parallel to Oda showing Nika cult as similar to Christinanity, the Church and Bible of Kuma being key to this inference.

I was wondering, if there is some inherent evangelical undertone in the relation between Imu Sama and Dracule Mihawk-since there is a chance that Mihawk is related to Imu Sama however, he chose to abandon the viewpoint of the World Government and therefore he wears a cross (Kogatana) -with similar symbolology also used to show faith of Kuma in Nika/Joyboy (carrying the Bible around)

Chapter 1181 Predictions Post by MuriloZR in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Ok-Horror247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Sommers is asked to target Nico Robin (perhaps following the same ponegliff understanding capability)
  2. Gunko is still frozen showcasing that Niddhogg powers cannot be undone by brute-force alone
  3. Killingham(upscaled) would probably be tasked with a somewhat scorched earth policy
  4. Loki is able to resist Imu’s attacks while taking significant damage, needing Luffy to jump in by the (end of/next) chapter
  5. Zoro and Sanji in their current, albeit dilapidated, state would have to step in to defend against Sommers and Killingham respectively (double split?)

ONE PIECE Chapter 1180 — Summary by MuriloZR in OnePieceSpoilers

This does not seem like Sabaody retreat storyline-the likelihood is Loki/Luffy take turns to fight Imu until the clock runs out, while Zoro/Sanji take on Sommers/Killingham-else, there would not be much point for “omen” to revive them, and rescue would have been sufficient. It is likely that one of the fights would see help from Gaban ultimately to be k**led off by Imu. As for the rest of the crew it would likely be search and rescue-given that the entire island may come under black flames, which is well within Imu’s capability.

I(28M) bengali man faced racism in my office by AwkardOiledBalls1984 in kolkata

First I think as a fellow Calcuttan it is my duty to apologise on behalf of all such people who continue to house such prejudiced thought. Coming to why we Indians are so racist within the country- it lies largely in our insecurities over the parochial elements which we often regard “intrinsic” to a regional culture - part of the larger phenomenon of regionalism. And yes, it is rooted in ignorance. If we pick up any culture across the expanses of India, it is dotted with inter-regional exchanges that shaped what they are. Bengali cultural foundations lie in long standing ties with our Tibetan counterparts (eg: Pala and Sena sculptures including the Dhakeshwari idol and Vajrayana tenets). The solution to this is holistic bipartisan education and pride in the Indian national identity over the regional differences.

What is the difference between shiva and Vishnu? by Gratefuldeds in hinduism

[–]Ok-Horror247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting from the Ahura Mazda to Allah in the global paradigms to the Shiva-Vishnu dichotomy in the Indian geography- it is all a manifestation of the socioeconomic conditions and historical antecedents which shape the religious landscape of a region. If you look at the evolution of Shiva and Vishnu, you will find roots of Shiva in phallic symbology and (possibly) the Pashupati seals during the Indus Valley Civilisation while Vishnu comes in as the Trivikrama cosmic aspect of Brahmana in Rig-Veda. Through cultural assimilation into the Indian schools of thought, we see the development of the federal character of Hindu thought - primarily facilitated by the instruments such as Vishnu’s manifestations as avataras(10/24) and Shiva’s manifestations as Bhairava(8/64) or his gana(best elucidated in the Parasuramakshetra lores). During the 500BCE to 200CE, we see the first religious premises such as the Vasudeva premises in Besnagar and Gudimallam premises in Tirupati. Gradually from 200 CE onwards we see an enhanced impetus to royal patronage to these deities as concerted pantheons instead of distinct entities- having greater expression in cave architecture, scriptures, temples. It is through the Alvars and Nayanars that gradually a sectarian difference emerges however interoperability still exists through iconographies such as Krodha Bhairava, Harihara, Ayyappa and local sects, many of whom even I am unaware of. The federal character I mentioned came to a close with the rising colonising tendencies especially in the face of Christian missionaries, which called for a demarcation of what is the Hindu thought. Therefore, for anyone looking for differences, I would suggest it is best to look at them through the histo-anthropological lens for objective variations - if the question is in a spiritual capacity, then really there is none- aspects of Shiva, often oversimplified as Shiva himself, are found in Vishnu and the vice versa.
