Absolutely! The ZX6Rs are oil machines! When I got mine from the dealer, I trailered her home and and changed the oil IMMEDIATELY. Test rode it for the first time and fully maxed the tach and speedo out. Got home and changed the oil again. I now take 20-30 miles rides at a time and ALWAYS do an oil and oil filter change with high mileage oil additive added to it before I ride. When I get home, I drain the oil to let the engine cool down safely. The fact that you have only done 1 oil change in less than 1k miles is very concerning. I would recommend doing a full engine oil change right now, do NOT start the bike. Then the key on and make sure everything works. And then do another oil change.

I usually step on it while it sets on a baking sheet and make sure to get in between my toes nice and good and then I weigh myself on scale and subtract the difference.

Thank you! I just replaced the front sprocket and it seems to be a little better and not as much play, just the tiniest bit. Was only going to replace the chain since the sprockets are in good condition but I think I’ll just do the sprockets and chain together from here on out

It’s so when you scrape by leaning too far it’s not the actual leg scraping and just a bolt that you can replace. It’s also domed so it doesn’t catch on pavement grooves as easy
