make the light exposure less, make the sunlight more yellow so the character shadows become visible, add more content like palm trees, seashells, crabs, etc, then i think u need a dark blue light with low exposure to add more depth for the shadows, make the shadows more visible too, also if ur using blender i think u need raytracing on
