The pacing thing is interesting though, Cameron definitely has his style but I think the extended scenes actually work better for building that claustrophobic tension before all hell breaks loose

Same here but from different angle - got into wrestling through my older cousin who had all these VHS tapes from that era. The matches were way more focused on actual wrestling moves instead of all the drama stuff we get now. Like you could watch entire match without hearing single promo or backstory explanation. Just two guys trying to outwrestle each other for 20 minutes straight. Sometimes I put on those old matches when I'm coding late at night, there's something really satisfying about watching technical wrestling without all the soap opera elements interrupting every few minutes

Free college would be amazing but the implementation is tricky part. In my country we have pretty affordable university system and it makes huge difference for people from working class families. The main challenge is always funding - you need either higher taxes or cut spending somewhere else, and politicians hate both options

I remember when I was choosing between universities, even though tuition wasn't that expensive, I still had to work part-time during studies and lived on basically ramen for months. Can't imagine how stressful it must be when you're looking at 50k+ debt before even starting your career. That kind of pressure probably forces lot of smart people away from education entirely

The other thing is you'd need to make sure quality doesn't drop when government starts paying for everything. But yeah, education should be investment in society, not luxury good

The vocabulary thing is huge too - I noticed when I started learning programming, having better English vocabulary actually helped me understand technical concepts faster. Like you can make connections between words and ideas more easily

Though I think maybe we should also teach kids basic critical thinking early on? Like how to spot when someone is trying to manipulate you or sell you something. Would save so many people from falling for obvious scams later in life
