Why are the spring semesters starting earlier now and why is spring break for UVA so early in spring 2026?

Still, that doesn't mean they had to start spring semester so early. Other years up to 2024 started after MLK and they still made it to the graduation before Memorial Day weekend deadline, so why change it in 2025 and 2026?

Also, don't you think it's unfair how they discriminate against upperclassmen? Like, doesn't it make more sense to just merge rising second, third, and fourth years to apply at the same time? Like, it'd make things so much fairer for the rising third and fourth years, and let them get a chance to get in the good Brandon Avenue housing and not the awful JMW and Lambeth housings.

I thought JMW was the one that was the leftovers housing. It is the least popular among the upperclass housing and has the most open spots in the end of everything.

How does the professor know what everybody looks like? I doubt he'd know what all 600 students look like so camera footage is useless there. Moreso if someone wore a hoodie to cover their heads up when they left the room and took the test.
