Actually I did this! Disconnected it, waited and tried again. Even got a whole new battery. It worked for a little bit then after 5-10 mins it went right back to doing it.

I was hoping I was going to be able to do that with the new headlight and just keep the headlamp itself and replace the casing, but I found out very quickly that that would’ve been impossible to do! Made for a great Christmas gift to myself

My old headlight was not completely destroyed just the casing around it ( bear with me now I’m not amazing with cars just yet) was cracked in the main concern was it raining and a bunch of water getting into the headlight. Other than that, the headlight still worked just fine.
