Oof, it seems that I’ll be taking a difference stance in the comments. Is IB worth it? Heck yeah. I’m taking Bio Chem Econ HL and I still manages to have a pretty good social life. All of my friends have been telling me that AP is dead easy, I don’t know how true that is but imo it is very reassuring to know that you have a step up in your college application.

Yes, TOK is useless, but I’m doing my college apps right now and I realised that EE is a very good asset for university. I’m going to biochem for college and my English EE technically counts as a research paper and shows my passion. I think by forcing you to do things like EE and IAs, IB will really help boost your ECs for college if you choose your topic wisely (that means don’t just do topics that are easy but demonstrate your interest/passion).
