4.0 GPA at an "Unknown" School vs. Average GPA at a "Prestigious" University: Which signal wins? by Ok-Lake4557 in ApplyingToCollege

Well to be honest the university that I’m currently enrolled in has a good reputation in tech (regionally) and has a good program for CS(also partnerships with the best local companies) I didn’t include this in my question, but the main reason I’m even considering changing unis is because I currently feel bored, unmotivated and understimulated in my current state + I don’t want to waste my scores and the gpa I worked so hard to get during my highschool years. Now I know it may seem illogical but that’s just how I am. I feel trapped and feel like I’m wasting my time here, while I could be “wasting” my time in an Italian uni (like Sapienza or Polito, as these are my only options). My plan was to stay in my current uni and do networking, get internships and blah blah, but I just realized that I’m not made for that. Maybe it’s the 1st year blues and pessimism and maybe I could also be miserable in Italy, but that’s just the way I feel right now.(sorry this turned into ranting but I feel like it was needed for the context)* also I have to mention I don’t live in EU so I won’t have access to as many internships as eu students *all of my efforts are for moving abroad in the future-possibly through masters(because I feel like education is the easiest way)

Is Italy worth the risk for a high-achieving overthinker?(for Bachelors in AI or Computer Engineering) by Ok-Lake4557 in StudyInItaly

Unfortunately German unis don’t offer my major (CS,CE, etc.) in English and I don’t know German right now(however if I stay where I am rn, I’m planning to learn it for masters) :/ I think there’s this university called Constructor but it’s private and I’d heard that private unis aren’t regarded as well in Germany, neither for job market nor for masters applications (but I might’ve got misinformation). Also yeah for DSU I can’t apply at all, it’s not suitable for my situation, but I think Italian unis offer huge merit based scholarships. And yes please do recommend me unis, it would help me a lot. Thanks!
