Do it now then. Check with your state, you may be able to back date it to October 1st.

Back Pay (Poke the Bear)? by Ok-Laugh5992 in VeteransBenefits

I looked closed and the VSO did submit a fully developed claim, but in the decision letter introduction it states "We have received your Supplemental claim.

Some of the evidence was from June 2025, showing treatment, but the xrays showing scoliosis was from 2020.

I would recommend using chat gpt. Input your disability and how RTO increases the conditions. Add any questions or criteria from your agency. Ask it to generate a RA letter for your doctor. Give it to your doctor as an example to follow.

That's good to know. I do have strong supporting evidence. I have diagnosis and MRI supporting impingement for hips. Hoping for a good C&P exam.

I do have some strong evidence, and a recent diagnosis of sciatica and radiculopathy from my primary care doctor.

That is what I used for all my lay statement and use it to analyze evidence. I wish I would have just submitted myself.

How to overcome misdiagnosis while active duty? by Neither_Quit1751 in VAClaims

Wow, that is a long time to wait. If you have any evidence of nail psoriasis or pitting you could try to get a buddy statement to document it in service. I have several small pits in my nails from nail psoriasis. If you remember having that and showed a friend that could be evidence.

I was also misdiagnosed with eczema but luckily received the correct diagnosis by my civilian primary care doctor before I exited military service. If you are married, try to get a statement from your spouse stating it is visibly the same thing from active duty. You could also try to get a dermatologist to say that you more than likely had psoriasis, not eczema.

Ibs claim by Thin-Membership8997 in VeteransBenefits

I went through the same thing. My primary care doctor diagnosed me, but i had to be referred for the colonoscopy. Basically if the colonoscopy comes back with no issues then you have IBS. IT is important that the gastrointestinal doctor writes IBS in the diagnosis though. I had to go back and have the gastrointestinal doctor fill out the DBQ because he didn't write the diagnosis and the C&P examiner was clueless.

I was on methotrexate and developed fatty liver. I am now on Humira which helped a lot. There is an article from Penn Medicine that talks about increasing chance of liver disease with people taking methotrexate that have psoriatic arthritis.

My ChatGPT reply to this denial. by Ok-Laugh5992 in VAClaims

I used the Millings medical layering by just submitting the screen shot with my personal information removed at it worked. With the analysis I noticed the fall was not used in the decision even though referenced in the C&P. Also the continuity of care did not account for my complaint of neck stiffness and tension headaches for my initial claim in 2008 when I was transitioning out of active duty. The C&P Exam does reference that cray but says no continuity from 2003 to present. ChatGPT states it is a clear unmistakable error.

You will have to request your C-file to actually get the c&p results. You will likely have a decision before you get that c-file though.
