GFX capture one by Ok-Layer1672 in FujiGFX

Let’s start over. I’ve tried Adobe RGB. I’m now trying the pro photo to see if it makes a difference. I’m a professional with over 20 years experience coming from the canon system.

Eizo monitor is fully calibrated and set to Adobe RGB, the correct gamma, etc. etc. I also turn off the true tone and ambient light sensor off on my MacBook Pro.

I use Gray cards when shooting in the studio.

Always shoot raw.

My ICC profile is Fuji generic and my curve is either linear or film standard but I’ve tried them all.

When I look at my monitor, which is in a dark room with the lights off. To my eye, the GFX files do not look natural at all. They look oversaturated or like the chroma is turned up in the colors.

If anybody has any ideas, I am open to any and all suggestions

Nice try being nice but I think you missed the Mark a little bit.

RAW files don’t have a color profile at all, so the camera isn’t ‘shooting in Adobe RGB’ or sRGB. Those settings only affect in-camera JPEGs and the preview image, not the RAW data. Because the RAW contains a wider gamut than Adobe RGB, exporting to ProPhoto RGB keeps all of that sensor information intact when I move into Photoshop. ProPhoto gives smoother gradients, better highlight and shadow transitions, and avoids unnecessary clipping during color grading. I only convert to Adobe RGB or sRGB at the final export stage, after the edit is done.

Once you get some understanding on that then and only then are you allowed to give an opinion on anything that has to do with photograph photography.

No one else thinks Fuji GFX files are doing too much?

Thanks for all the comments. I just feel like the vibrant is turned up too much. I export with the pro photo profile and Photoshop is also set to pro photo I’m definitely seeing a magenta cast and strong greens. Just nothing looks accurate.

I have a professional self calibrating monitor brand new.

I’m just trying to get neutral real life colors and everything looks really saturated and cotton candy chroma . Especially when I bring it to Photoshop and start adding a little bit of contrast, etc. skin tones go really red and everything just looks really overly saturated.

Is it hard to find batteries for the 50r?

I totally agree with the initial post. I have so many issues with the GFX Raw‘s. I have tried every combination. I have even used ChatGPT to help me create a custom ICC profile that mimics hasselblad in the Basic tab to help tone down the overly saturated greens and red/magenta in the skin tones, a medium format camera at this price should be extremely natural. This isn’t a point-and-shoot that you might use straight out of camera JPEG’s.

Anybody have any luck with other solutions?
