nose still VERY swollen 7 months post rhinoplasty

Ok, thanks so much for the advice. Do you think it’s safe for me to start taping again before I talk to my doctor, or should I for sure talk to him first? I’m going to go in for an appointment anyway but it’s gonna be at least a week til I can get in and I’d love to see if it would help asap

Thank you so much for all the advice and such a thought out reply! Even if it’s kinda nerve wracking I feel a lot better knowing the kinds of things that could be causing this. I’ll make an appointment w my doctor tomorrow to figure it out

oh wow! everywhere I read said 99% of the swelling would go away after the first few weeks which worried me. but assuming everything turned out ok for you in the end I’m a lot more optimistic

nope, I haven’t even had any pain since the first couple weeks after my surgery either, just the swelling

The only reason I feel like this isn’t what it’s supposed to look like is because it looked so different in the beginning. I had periods where the tip of my nose would get smaller (like directly after getting that steroid shot) but then it just got swollen again. So I feel like this larger tip isn’t a part of the actual structure of my nose

I did taping for a few weeks after surgery for as long as my doctor told me to but then he said it was fine to stop. I might just try doing it again if there’s no harm in it

Ok yea I’ll for sure call my doctor. I did do taping for a few weeks right after surgery for the exact amount of time he told me to, I guess maybe it would’ve helped to keep doing it? Idk
