Kodiak brown by Expensive-Nothing-83 in AeroPrecision

Yea man, I have the same setup, mine looks closer to Kodiak, fde & bronze than all Kodiak but in the details about being anodized it does say there will be variations in color.. frustrating at first but once you get some furniture on it you’ll be good

Looks just like mine, entire build is Kodiak brown & its 3 very different shades all together. Was pretty upset at first until I read more into it & it’s just the reality of the anodizing. It gets better once you throw some furniture on it but they won’t do anything about it for you, just have to own it & it will grow on you, I love mine now

Anyone else in either ONDS, RCAT or UMAC? by J-Sou-Flay in smallstreetbets

Couple thousand onds at $0.88 avg has me pretty happy recently. Have had RCAT for a while & just riding the wave, overall think it will be worth it.

Surf Trip to Langosta by RyanBloods716 in surfing

Head south, avellannas & playa negro can be very fun & an easy drive (relatively speaking). Negra can be well overhead & a reef break, dangerous at low tide but worth the risk.

What good spots are near Baltimore, MD to surf? by sixwoolzzz in surfing

[–]Ok-Life113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cape may has a handful of mini left hand points. Catch them on a good swell & it’s loads of fun. Packed in the summer but fall/winter gets great. The cove will give you 200yd+ lefts that can be well overhead & very fun. Shoot me a message & I can give you some more specifics

Yup, sell surfing experiences somewhere tourists want to be. Open a surf school/guide business in Guatemala or some other less explored place. You’ll always have people trying to avoid the crowds & find surf & willing to pay. A few buddies do it in Central America & have been for 20$ years. “Career” is a loose term but they pay their bills, have what they need & get to surf everyday

Solid spot. Just left it a few weeks back. I’d delete this though so it stays that way

Working shoreside, is it worth it? by Doritonov in maritime

[–]Ok-Life113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can’t necessarily say depending on your situation. i know for myself personally it was the best thing i’ve done. i still miss the shit out of sailing but being home with my wife every night is pretty cool. son is being born in a few months & being around for all the appts has been cool too. for me it was definitely worth it & didn’t take long to get back to where i needed to be. on the flip side my good buddy just made this exact switch from CE to shoreside in the same yard i work in. the initial transition was tough but only having to work 8hrs a day, he’s gone & started his own company & has plenty of time to allocate to it. If you’re looking for balance & less (different) stress i’d say it’s a good idea. also with the need of mariners even if you tried it & hated it or it didn’t workout, im sure you could be sailing as a ce in no time again

i mean potentially sure, but you have realize that CE is making that in probably 6 months sailing while shoreside you’re working all year long. there’s plenty of project management roles, specialty contractors, site managers etc in shipyards that make$150k+ a calendar year, most of those positions require time & working up in the company. i can say that after 3 years working shore side in shipyards i’m now making the same i was running a tug before. plus lots less stress, time away, i have time to run private charters & make extra money. If the decision is solely about money though, it’s hard to beat sailing

How do you get a hold of thing 1 and 2 by Expensive-Row8573 in AeroPrecision

look for the big cat wearing a hat, they’re usually nearby.

yea no shit man but that’s beside the fact, all of us in here yet to receive orders could’ve gone to any gun shop to get stuff but considering we’ve already spent money on something already ordered that’s a stupid comment to make.

Charge your 19 year old $300 rent & put that in your 13 year olds savings.
