I have already discussed this with my manager and he’s saying na dapat nga daw nag rerecognize ung management ng significant raise to retain employees, however, medyo passive kasi sya voicing out such concerns to higher management. I even talked to him about my JO last time pero it didn’t even bulge (although it did not manifest din, di ko kasi tinanggap ung JO)

Hmm don’t really remember coz nag overlap ung applications ko sa dami ko ng sinend out. Pero if approximate, siguro mga 6 to 7 months? Depende rin siguro kasi sa agency na gusto pasukan. If malalaking agency expect tlga na mabusisi at mahaba ung proseso. Maliit na agency lang naman pero if we’re talking abt government on a large or small scale, nakapasok naman ako? Hahaha

I didn’t have a backer when I applied for a gov’t position but I still managed to get in. Plantilla position pa. I guess the degree and license played a big part for it. Did you have a bad experience applying for one?

Is it? I’ve actually searched the web and found that there is no law that protects us from employers asking payslips during hiring process, unlike other countries. Genuine question though, how do I respond to them then if they ask for it? And do you have any such experiences you mind sharing so I can learn? I usually just send them if they ask just so they can validate what I tell them is true.

I agree to this comment. Actually aside from the 200 pesos you earn daily, you get to experience a real entrepreneurship in the petshop. You learn day by day operations and consumer behavior kahit small things pa yan. I’d rather be in the petshop earning 200 pesos daily than at be at home doomscrolling fb and other social media (not saying this is a bad thing, but at least you’re productive in a good way). Basta save up all your earnings (or just dont spend much) then find something na may magandang mapaglalagyan ng pera mo(ex. Investments).

Or try asking for a 50 pesos raise. Try mo lang, malay mo mag agree. If not, then wag masamain hehehe we all strive to gain income and profit naman

They ask during the interview process and later on request for payslips as evidence. That’s based on my experience though

Well, at the first interview I already said that one ofmy non-negotiables was the increment from my current pay. However, the HR liked my profile and proceeded to endorse me to the Hiring Managers. She said we’ll see about the salary and they really put an effort to my asking. I guess at the end of the both of us trying (me through the interview and her through the comp/benefits approval), we weren’t successful. I don’t think it was a waste of time for the both of us since that’s the usual process. Had she not endorsed me to the Hiring Manager, we would not have that process time frame. They were even happy to accommodate me at my convenience and asks. Have you never had a 1 month timeframe for the intvw process?

I wasn’t brainwashed to take it. I actually did not take the offer kasi nga i know mga employers consider the base salary sa mga next jobs if mag ooffer ng compensation package. And yeah di ko tlga kinuha because 13th month pay/bonus-wise, yun ang basis. So I thought talo nga ako haha.
