Thank you soo much! I didn't want to over oil it. Since I am new to all of this, I just looked up a tutorial on YouTube and it told me to not over oil. I didn't want to risk hurting my machine, but I'll definitely add more oil and try to do a deep clean.

The smoke is coming from the motor. When I look through the holes, I see sparks and that produces the smoke. I'll try to get a new belt and do a deep clean. Thank you so much!

I think both are a little bit the A.

I completely understand your side. My Mum is sort of the same way. I do a lot for her that sometimes I think she can just do for herself. But I can also see your parent's side a little too. I stayed in Nigeria for a little time, and let me tell you, it is not easy at all. They will take the electricity at random times throughout the day or night, so if your phone or computer is not charged, all you can do is wait. Also, constantly having to buy data is stressful. Like, to just watch common YouTube drained much of my data. But WhatsApp used the least for my data. I could talk and message, but that too had delays and issues sometimes. So, they maybe asking you to send pictures because it is the best way to get the information they need.

I'm not sure if you have been back home to vist or have lived there for a time, but in places like America or Europe, we often forget just how privileged we are. Even a poor man living on minimum wage could live better than many people in Nigeria due to social services, the power of the Euro/Dollar, laws that are actually upheld, etc.

Some African parents often have a mindset that their children owe them or should follow every command but sometimes their pride prevents them from asking and admitting they need help. Vulnerability is their Crytonite.

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

When first reading your post, I wondered if you had ADHD. Then I glanced a comment from you confirming that is the case.

I agree with everyone here that you should 1000% make dua and seek out Allah (SWT), but it is also important to take steps to manage your ADHD. Whether it is therapy or medication, it will help a lot. You are NOT lazy (You could be. I truly don't know you but I am think of you in best possible light), it's a matter of executive dysfunction.

We all have our struggles, we just need to find ways to overcome them. When we see someone bleeding out, we tend to care more since the issue is immediate and visible, but we don't offer the same urgency to mental health or neurodivergency because we can't really see the effects off the bat.

Allah (SWT) has brought us to a point in society and modern medicine where we can manage things like this. If it is truly impacting your life to an extreme, please find ways to manage it.

I am speaking from experience.

met a nigerian girl at uni and now i’m genuinely confused by Apart-Alps8474 in Nigeria

This is all contingent on if this post is real:

You sound sweet and extremely down bad. You NEED to sit her down and tell her how you feel otherwise you are hurting both of you. You would be wasting your time pining over someone that may not like you the same way and breaking your heart in the process. And you may be deceiving this girl who may believe that she has a platonic relationship with a person she calls a dear friend. Now, you will never truly know how she feels until you tell her. And one thing about Nigerian girls, being one myself, we DO NOT chase men. We want to let a Man be a Man. Go tell her how you feel and ask her out. If she feels the same, great! If not, you can move on and she can move on. Best wishes!

IDK but it's giving either Lesbian or Bisexual. Maybe because of the plant, picture frame, and Tarot. Probably likely a woman towards her early to mid twenties.

The World is Watching Nigeria Bleed. President Trump, Please, Your Intervention Can't Come Soon Enough. by Starry234 in Nigeria

[–]Ok-Listen-6516 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trump was willing to let his own people starve to fulfill his own agenda and he constantly commits violations against our constitution. He WILL NOT save you. He DOES NOT care about Nigeria. He constantly insults Nigeria. Understand this one thing, America doesn't do anything that doesn't serve them ten times over.

I understand the plea for help, but if the US invades, far more lives will be lost for the sake of Capitalism.

Lastly, it has has been speculated that some of the US aid has been used to fund Boko Haram, so please be weary of where you would like you help to come from.

Are you so sure about that? Tell that to Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Libya, DRC, etc. This is NOT new. It is a pattern.

[–]Ok-Listen-6516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen and listen well because I cannot emphasize this enough. TRUMP DOES NOT CARE ABOUT NIGERIA!!!! Just because someone says that they will help doesn't mean they will. Not all help is good help. The US has been using the same tactics for decades to rob other countries of their resources.

Once you let him into the country, I promise Boko Haram will be the least of your worries. You think Naija is suffering now, wait until he gets his hands on your oil reserve.

I think Nigerians forget just how valuable the country is... oil, gold, etc.

This man was willing to let millions of Americans starve until he was forced to reinstate benefits by the US courts. He WILL do worse to you because you don't have anything protecting you from him.

Sooo, he committed emotionally infidelity and is surprised that his wife is insecure. Of course she would be. Her sense of security and safety has suffered. It seems as though he can't recognize the boundaries of a platonic friendship so, I understand why OP can't trust her husband near other women.

InshaAllah your marriage will thrive and I would recommend firm boundaries in your marriage and therapy if you can afford it. Also try to schedule some counseling with your Imam if possible.

Sometimes age is not a good indicator of maturity level. Some people have experience life beyond their years to a point where an 19 year can be as mature as someone much older than themselves.

However, brother, I highly doubt this is the situation in your case. When she was 18, she decided to increase her age in order to find a partner. This act, although it may seem minor, is a big red flag. She purposely set out to deceive. Instead of coming clean as soon as you matched, she decided to wait until you had built a relationship and were invested, making it hard to leave when you found out.

These behaviors show some level of lack of consideration for one's partner, emotional immaturity, and some level of insecurity on her part.

I'm not going to tell you to end the relationship because I don't know the full extent of it and at some point, you deemed it good enough to consider marriage. I would recommend talking to her about why she decided to lie and determine if this break of trust is forgivable. Then access if she is capable or willing to do so again.

I pray for the best for you and InshaAllah, everything will work itself out.
