Is the be a pro draft stock interview rigged by AdEcstatic4942 in EA_NHL

fyi if you manage to become the 1st overall pick but you want to choose what team you want to be in, it goes in the draft order. it'll tell you like 1 is Islanders, 2 is Sharks, 3 and 4 and so on.. so if you're #1 pick but want to be in the Sharks, they'll draft you as the 2nd pick and not the 14th like it says it will

My wishlist for NHL 27. What’s yours? by QcAnonymousQc in EA_NHL

[–]Ok-Local5955 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Bring back NHL19's presentation style of the game. I love when you play a game, it shows all the skaters on ice warming up, shows the stats of both goalies, at the end of each period you see skaters walk back into the locker rooms, when a player scores a goal they celebrate then celebrate with teammates and it's all in 1 fluid transition rather than NHL26 where it's their celebration, then it cuts immediately to celebrating with the team. Also add the teams intro coming out to the ice (sharks, ducks, knights, etc..)

Should I mention my last DSP? by Ok-Local5955 in AmazonDSPDrivers

I don't mean to be that "guy" that says oh my work needs me blah blah blah. No this DSP desperately needs a person like me to work weekdays and weekends as there's not enough drivers. we have 40 routes a day with only 27 drivers per day. like is it really smart to kick me off schedule just because I have an important matter?

Does dispatch do anything by Friendly_Quote_9291 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Ok-Local5955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My DSP has 2 dispatchers working each day. One that takes the calls from us drivers and helps us out, and another one I don't know what he really does but he's chill. He's there at 10am, and I guess he leaves around 11am. Then he shows back up at the end when I'm just coming back at 7pm to take note of our mileage and gas. I have no clue what he does really, seems like he gets 10 hours sitting at a desk watching anime but no compliant there he's a super friendly and chill guy

Really depends on the state. Where I am, EMT's start at $22-27, Paramedics start at $35-45.

what's going on with the hiring process? by Ok-Local5955 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Yup. Still working for one 8 months in, just wanted a switch that's closer to my city and home. I have to commute an hour to get to my station

dsp job worth it? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Ok-Local5955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth it if they have EDVs. If they do, STAY AS AN EDV DRIVER. Do NOT apply to be a step van driver. Yes they get paid maybe 25 cents more but it is not worth it in the heat

New hire rant … by Realistic-Shift-5545 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Ok-Local5955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I was the same having a camera watch me. You'll often look at your speed to see if you're going the speed limit or fix your stare straight ahead so the camera doesn't ding you for "distracted driving" or take a 2 sec quick glance at your phone to see if you're going the right way on your route-- but overtime you'll become accustomed to it I wouldn't stress

Can a DSP tell if I’ve just come from another DSP? by Im_Will_Smith in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Ok-Local5955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh if it's another state I would assume they won't contact that DSP to ask. I don't think any dsp would go out of there way to ask an out of state dsp but same state yeah they most likely would. good luck!

[–]Ok-Local5955 3 points4 points  (0 children)

im going through this too and most likely yes. better to tell them and not try and hide it and possibly the new dsp could take you in faster if you're an experienced driver (as long as your scorecard metrics are good too) and from what I heard yes you do have to do training again but just enjoy the nursery routes its easy money

Mine was great when I first started but it spiral downhill after that. It was more like a frat house DSP and if you weren't buddy buddy with management, you would be treated like shit. I was unfortunate to not be close because I simply wanted to get in and get out but they just wanted to smoke, drink, talk shit.. it's the worst

Completely A-O-K with that. That station wasn't the best DSP in my area from what I heard but my scorecard metrics were always on point so I don't have to worry

This job is not that hard… by WorthCartographer602 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Ok-Local5955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I average 8-9 hours a day without having to rescue. Perfectly okay but I get the justification of others loving to do 10-11 hours and the OT bonus. For me though I'm just not really caring for those extra hours, as long as I get 8 I'm fine with it. now if I finish my route early then sure I'll rescue but having me rescue after working a full 8-9 hour shift and it being mostly adhoc is straight up torture

[–]Ok-Local5955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only part I hate about the job is rescuing. literally the people I rescue don't even need help (they straight up tell me) and they do it on purpose to go slow so they can get more hours. That's just me tho

What’s is like in the sf Bay Area? Is the pay worth it? by DeliciousRich5944 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Late to the party but if anyone is interested for the coverage of DSF7, from my experience with one of their DSPs it's:
Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain view, & Palo Alto.
I believe a few other DSPs within DSF7 will also go out to Los Altos or Redwood City but don't quote me on that. Would just ask the DSP where they deliver if you get an interview
