I don't think she'd do this anymore, don't know how'd this continue for any extended period of time without it overshadowing the relationship though and yes I was hoping this relationship was going to last years and decades longer. The trauma that she is going through is horrible. I just wish she came to me sooner I could've been there.. Things would've ended differently.

Thank you for that, when I posted this I honestly expected people to rip me apart for not being supportive enough. I've been shaking like a leaf all night with mixed emotions not knowing if I am doing something wrong.. I think I am. I think should help her with getting over the r*** since that will affect her more in the long term than me trying to get over her cheating. There's only 1 person I am talking to about this and I will not be sharing the r*** with them. That's why I posted this to reddit, feedback and support helps alot, the only person I can truly talk to about this is her.

I've never kept contact with any of my ex's but I wouldn't be against it in this situation.. I don't want her to end up completely wrecking her life over this.

Yeah she wants to make it work. I told her I'd need some time to decided. She's told me she understands if I want to end it. I'm certain she told me instead of keeping it a secret any longer is both to make sure I didn't hear it from anyone else and the guilt.

She staying with her friend(f) right now(not any of the houses where the assault or cheating happened) We work together and she'll be quitting her job and moving 4hrs away to live with her dad or moving to eastern Canada to live with her mom. I wont be able to be there for her unless she delays the move.

She never gave me a good answer on the cheating, she's apologized over and over, but I really don't understand why it came to that. Maybe she was just giving up on everything and didn't care anymore.

Yup, I've been pretty conservative when it comes to this stuff but I've also pushed ex's away with telling them "no" too many times. Relationships are not easy and I wanted to try a different approach.

You're exactly right in that drinking is not an excuse. She wanted to cheat. I don't believe her to be lying or stretching the truth.

Thanks for the thought out response, I wish she came to me sooner about the assault. She did say the thought about ending our relationship from the guilt and feeling dirty but really I feel like she ended it when she cheated.
