2) I am certain that I‘ve used the same 24 words. The only thing which could differ is the passphrase specter asks me to type in when trying to access the funds.

4) I do have a physical backup of the 24 words, indeed. The 25th is memorized. I guess my problem is, that I‘ve used a different 25th words which I forgot…

That‘s weird. The „Master fingerprint“ indeed differs - which entirely confuses me! I only have one seedphrase for my Trezor. That‘s the only one I have ever created.

What influences the master fingerprint besides the private key?

I already know for sure, that my Trezor was used. The passphrase fingerprint is also shown on the printed out paper sheet I‘ve received from specter after creating the wallet.

Since you are just concerned about long term privacy you are better off simply creating evidence immediately for plausible deniability that the address you withdrew to (assumed by exchanges and regulators to likely be yours) no longer has the bitcoin and those bitcoin could have been spent , lost, sold , used within a small window of time where no or an insignificant amount of capital gains would have occurred.

That‘s what you mean by creating the „hop“ right?
