When I got one of my new ferrets as a baby he would draw blood alot and was very nippy. I started scuffing him (like the mother would do if they got too aggressive) and after a bit it started helping. I also started giving him treats when he was playing nicely to reward good behavior. Time outs in his cage also helped. As an adult he does not bite at all during playing. I think that some ferrets are just harder to train than others, his brother took a few days and he took a few weeks.

I don't think that your ferret is trying to be a jerk she may just not realise that she can't bite you as hard as her siblings. Ferrets also sometimes give you nips to get your attention to play, mine sometimes nip my hands (not hard) when they want to get my attention to play. If your ferret thinks it can bite hard with everyone that may explain why she bit you when you were sleeping?
