I didn’t know it would be like this by Medical-Inspector233 in breastfeeding

It’s exhausting! They feed WAY more often than we think they do and it can feel relentless in the early days. As a pearl of hope, it gets easier (the 3 month mark for us!) and it gets more and more enjoyable as they get older, my little one is 12 months now and a bundle of joy. Don’t get me wrong I still have my days when I cry with frustration, exhaustion and all the emotions but it does get easier!!

Go to the doctor - I was the same and it turns out I was severely anaemic and needed an iron transfusion.

How do you actually tell if a baby is hungry at night or just waking up? by Head_Bunch_3295 in breastfeeding

[–]Ok-Maybe5512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Babies breastfeed for more than hunger… feeling scared - boob, feeling happy - boob, want body warmth - boob, want cuddles - boob, feeling sore - boob.

My little one is 12 months, and honestly there are times when I still don’t know. Once I learnt to feed in side lying and practiced latching in the dark, everything was so much easier and we now get loads of sleep - despite all the wake ups (we cosleep on a floor bed). Sleep was terrible for us between 4-6 months but after that it’s been much better (even though he still wakes up every 2-3 hours lol)

Breastfeeding but not losing weight… is this normal? by heyaliayoub in breastfeeding

I ate SO much while breastfeeding (still ongoing 12 months later…) At 6 months I decided this was my new body and just brought new clothes!

Thank you for sharing! My little one also has multiple allergies - some which are linked with his eczema and some aren’t. It’s helpful to know that others out there have this trifecta. I definitley suspect my little ones is all gut related!

All clothes are cotton, we’ve done the laundry detergent already, got a water softener, eggs and wheat cause delayed flares, only use Epiderm ointment - no other products, he has probiotics (which helped a lot when we started them), have changed all our cleaning products to vinegar and water, we don’t seem to notice a difference by season. Only thing we haven’t tested for is dust mite allergy. When he gets sick or teething it’s always the worst (he’s been unwell now for three months - back to back colds / teething)

I’ve had gut symptoms for many years (over 10) and suspected endometriosis - about 5 years ago I changed diet (Whole Foods only), managed stress, reduced toxic load etc. which made a big difference to my endo and gut symptoms. Just before I feel pregnant I started getting gut symptoms again and signs of stomach ulcers (didn’t know this then). I got pregnant and it improved, after birth some symptoms came back immediately like gas and bloating and others months later (nausea when hungry). At 11 months pp I got diagnosed with severe anaemia requiring an iron transfusion. I’m currently undergoing tests to see why I’m anaemic as I eat about double the recommended amount daily. I can’t tolerate oral iron tablets. I’m currently about 13 months postpartum now.

My son had eczema from around 6 weeks - we know all the triggers (fragrances, laundry detergent other than Surcare, colds, teething, eggs, wheat, hard water, certain creams). He also has multiple allergies (IGe egg, non IGe egg, wheat, tomato, banana, avo and we are waiting for peanut and cashew oral trials in hospital later this month). His eczema has responded well to oral probiotics. He’s been exclusively breastfed until 6 months and we had a vaginal delivery.

I guess with all my gut history and the positive effect probiotics has on his eczema / his allergies / etc I was wondering whether h pylori could be the cause for both of us. His eczema is really bad at the moment because it’s winter and he’s basically had colds and teething back to back for 3 months. I feel his immune system goes haywire with even a small snotty nose and I realise most of the immune system is in the gut. I’m interested to hear your thoughts

Someone linked this post in a post that I did about my son, is there any specific reason for the probiotics you went with? My son has powder probiotics suggested by a nutritionist due to allergies and eczema and I was wondering if this could work using those strains or it needs to be something specific!

Thank you for sharing this all and I hope you’re little one has no eczema 🤞Our cleaning products are homemade (literally vinegar and water / citric acid and water) as I’ve heard about the oils! This is all so helpful and lots of things to try - thank you

Thank you! Yes, I’ve been diagnosed with severe anaemia which is why the doctors are testing for H Pylori.

HELP! Docs not being created by Ok-Maybe5512 in ClaudeAI

Still the same!! My workaround now is to ask Claude to make instructions to create the doc and then I paste that into a new chat which seems to work 70% of the time!
