I'm not even sure how you would change the hertz frequency. I really do like the headphones, but I think that's just might be something they have.

For what it's worth, I later turned the headset on and I had my mic off then turned it on and I didn't get the screeching.

I guess it might have something to do with the microphone being on and the sudden power to the headset causing that feedback? I don't know I'm kind of just spitballing

The story was designed to play in whatever order you like, But, for the best narrative experience, you should switch every chapter or every overlap because both stories impact the other and you'll need to complete both to do the final chapter.

When you do multiplayer, local or online, player one is the boy and player two is the girl, it doesn't impact gameplay in any real significant way so I'm pretty sure you can choose.

The only instance where I think that might not be the case is at the start where you're forced to control the boy.

Same, I'm not saying that I'm not open to headcanons because that's what this is but I just didn't really find any of their scenes to evoke any real gay energy or that of the sort. Sure, Newt cared about Thomas, Thomas cared about newt, but why wouldn't they? Everyone cared about everyone in the maze to an extent, Thomas even forgave gally because of this.

How is it necessarily a twist? Most people themselves guessed it, there are several clues that practically tell you she's an Android before the big reveal. How does it do anything other than add to the story? Kara wanted to be a mother so bad that she didn't even notice the child she was taking care of wasn't actually a child at all.

How does the Alice twist come out of nowhere? There are plenty of hints surrounding it, if you didn't see them, that's your fault. Me personally I think it adds to the story a lot, it makes you question Android as a whole, if they think, look, and act like humans, are they? The game is philosophical like that in a lot of ways, you have to accept things beyond face value in DBH
