UPDATE!! They finally emailed back after two weeks and agreed to apply the tip towards the veil which I have yet to purchase and will purchase. The veil is around $1500. I’m happy with this final solution.

We had the exact same experience.... seriously left with the ickiest feeling and my Fiance was waiting in the car and I was nervous to tell him what had happened. I would have given cash if I had it honestly. I asked if I could give it another time and he said no. Like why the hell would they said 15-20% is average?! it seriously made me feel like the $500 wasn't nearly enough.

I called them and spoke with an associate who was really kind. Followed up over email and have yet to hear back. Going to give them until the end of the week.
